CHAPTER 1 - OVERCOMING YOUR LIMITING BELIEFS

Many a times, we know that we have something inside of us that others can benefit from.

At the same time, we have this little voice in our head that tells us that we are not good enough to teach others.

Am I right?

If you agree, quote this post and type I agree.

This little voice in our head that tells us that we are not good enough is the voice of LIMITING BELIEFS.

It makes us see others that are far better than us and excelling in their industries (Well, that's a fact); then tells us that we don't have what it takes to be like them or worse still, that there is no one that will benefit from our expertise/knowledge (this is completely false!).

Look, you don't need to know everything before you become an expert.

You simply need to be a step ahead of others.

Where you are now is where some people seriously desire to be now!

As much as you are looking up to those who are far ahead of you, so are also many others who are looking up to you to learn from you.

Many times, we are so good at what we do that we tend to look down on what we are capable of doing.

For example, if you find it very easy to look at someone's hair and then give him a very nice cut that fits his head shape, you tend to look down on it as nothing yet many people will find it amazing that you can do what you do.

To you, it's nothing.

To them, it's a big deal.

This is where the problem lies.

Once you allow yourself to be told by that little voice in your head that you are not good enough, you can never monetize or maximally conver your knowledge/expertise into cash.

Until you deal with these SELF LIMITING BELIEFS, you can never amount to nothing.

In the next thread, I will be sharing with you PRACTICAL STEPS on how to deal with SELF LIMITING BELIEFS.

As I had earlier informed you at the beginning of this thread, you are not welcome IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO WORK ON YOURSELF.

I tend to put my efforts into serving others and pleasing them. Focused little on myself even when people tell me severally that I am good at this or that and if they have half my skill set they would blossom. Low self-confidence in stepping out as me was a major limiting belief.
However, I have mustered some courage to step out and though its tough I still believe I would not fail.
Someone told me DO YOU WORK BUT 'MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS
and that is what I am doing now - Minding my business

My own limitation is how to make my skill sellable and how to organise it.

Today, I will be sharing a powerful assignment that will help you eliminate your limiting beliefs.

This is an excerpt from an article by Jordan Gray from his website: jordangrayconsulting.com

Do these five steps, in this order, every time you feel that something internal is holding you back…

1. Name Your Demons

Use the ancient art of sentence completion to have your mind fill in the blank. Write down “I am afraid that…” and finish the sentence ten times.

The sentences that come out in this stage are your limiting beliefs that hold you back.

Ex. “I am afraid that… I will always struggle in my dating life”

If you can’t think of ten different beliefs try thinking about multiple areas of your life… financial, romantic, social, happiness, self-worth, career fulfillment, etc.

2. Face Your Demons

Now under each of your limiting beliefs you want to write 3-5 ‘reasons why’ you fear those things. This is really digging into the core of these issues and is often more surprising than the beliefs themselves.

Ex. “I am afraid that I will always struggle romantically… because my parents fought a lot when I was young and I feel like I will probably end up like them and I want to avoid that pain.”

3. Punch Your Demons In The Face

The third step is about disproving your limiting beliefs.

Under each of your limiting beliefs, write down as many points of evidence to the contrary as you can. Go for at least five per limiting belief. Think of everything in your life (no matter how big or small they may seem) that stands in contrast to your old limiting belief and make note of them.

Ex. “I don’t need to fear struggle in my romantic life because I am an increasingly valuable partner that women respond well to for a reason.”
4. Write Your New Empowered Belief

Now here is the real ninja part…

Reference the old belief briefly, and then in a realistic but compelling manner, state the new empowered belief for each of your ten limiting beliefs.

Ex. “Although I sometimes stress about women, I know that it is unavoidable that I will be successful in my love life. Whenever I have put mind to it, I have been able to get into a relationship with ease.”

5. Repeat As Needed

Some beliefs are rooted more deeply than others. Although one session is often enough to give you massive clarity, you may find it helpful to repeat this process multiple times over the course of a month to really uproot your old limiting beliefs.

I can guarantee there’s nothing quite like removing an unconscious belief that has held you back for years, to feel the true freedom and ease that a free mind enables you with.
Mental Handcuffs

Remember to watch out for new limiting beliefs that are thrown at you by others. Having a certain level of skepticism towards any advice that is thrown your way is a necessary step in your process.

It is too easy to go with the flow in life and agree with what everyone else collectively thinks is “the right way” to do things. But this is most often not the best thing to do for your character growth.

Whenever people say phrases such as “the way things are…”, “you should…”, or “the only way to…”, then you can be fairly certain that a limiting belief is being tossed your way.

Learn to recognize these statements for what they are… someone putting their limiting belief on you.

It is meant for a particular set of people WHO ARE WILLING AND ABLE TO PAY.

Knowing whom you want to serve plays a very important role in monetizing your skills and expertise.

If you cannot define whom exactly you want to serve, you will end up being frustrated.

Why?

Simply because you will be marketing your expertise to the wrong set of people.

This will leave you broke, confused and agitated.

Knowing who you want to serve can be sometimes hard to find or locate, nonetheless, this thread will help you identify them.

If you look closely, you will discover that your knowledge/skills falls basically into three core areas which are;

1. WEALTH

2. HEALTH

3. RELATIONSHIPS


At this juncture, the question I want to ask you is this;

Which of these 3 core areas match your area of expertise?

CHAPTER 3 -SALIENT QUESTIONS YOU MUST ASK YOURSELF

After having identified the market you want to serve, i.e. your own very sub-niche, you need to ask yourself some very important questions to make sure that this particular identified market will be able TO SUSTAIN your knowlede/expertise business.

Some people make the mistake of just starting and then get hooked because their market is NOT PAYING.

So what are the salient questions you must ask yourself?

1. Would the people in this sub-niche of mine be excited about the new opportunity I am presenting to them? You can ask people around; colleagues, friends, family, acquaintances, etc.

2. Are the people in this market irrationally passionate? Before you question the market itself, you need to ask yourself; "Am I really irrationally passionate about my topic?" Whenever you are around family members or friends, do you always bring it up, even when no one seems to care?

To be able to identify if your identified market is irrationally passionate, you need to look for the following:

i. Communities - Are there existing online forums, facebook groups/fan pages, youtube channels, blogs or podcasts where others are already talking about this topic you love so much?

ii. Terminology - Does this market have its own identified language?

iii. Events - Does this identified market have its own events such as online or offline seminars, conferences, masterminds, summits, etc.?

iv. Other Authorities - Are there other experts in this market? Are there established authorities who are already prospering and have products (online and offline) in this market?


Ask these questions yourself as many times and as deep as you can.

It will not augur well if you waste money, time, energy working in the wrong niche where there will not be people enough to pay you.

CHAPTER 4 -PEOPLE ARE BEGGING TO BE LED BY YOU
=============================================
"People are silently begging to be led." (Jay Abraham).

The people who need your knowledge are waiting for you to lead them. However, you need to become a charismatic leader in order for you to become the kind of leader they need.

Keep to these rules below:

1. Become an attractive character, and live the life your audience wishes they could live - People will follow you because you have experienced/completed the journey they are on right now, and greatly desire the result you have already achieved. In brief, they want to become JUST LIKE YOU. Your audience will only take action if you are willing to show them what it took you to move from where they currently are to where you are. It then means that you have to live the life that your audience wishes to live as that is what will inspire them more than anything.

2. Be absolutely certain - This is not about self-confidence. "Self confidence is for kids." (Setema Gali). To be able to make impact, you MUST BE CERTAIN. Being absolutely certain is what draws your audience to you as it makes them see you as THE EXPERT. How do you gain certainty? By sharing your messages constantly over and over again on platforms your audience can be found.

For example, I talk about online visibility - How to become more visible online with our business via my youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKwB-iAOtgB0Rh4nrm0hXBw).

You can share your messages daily via facebook, instagram, snapchat, blogging or any platform you choose. What matters more than the platform you choose is your consistency.

3. Never be boring - If you are boring, your audience won't be able to connect with you and your message at all. You must be fascinating and be able to make impact consistently to become relevant. Note however that it is not everyone that will like you - that is a normal thing. Nonetheless, you must be very enthusiastic about your message and how your life has been changed and how you intend to help others change their lives by taking the steps you took.

4. Understanding how to use persuasion is a must - Blair Warren in The One Sentence Persuasion course said, "People will do anything for those who encourage their dreams, justify their failures, allay their fears, confirm their suspicisions, and help them throw rocks at their enemies." You must learn how to use persuasion. You can go online (google or youtube) and research on how to use persuasion.

5. Be ready to care massively - If your sole purpose is just to make money from your audinece, you will not last long. You will not grow and so will your pocket not grow. You must actually care a lot about your audience. They must also be able to know that you do care for them. If you care for them, they will go the extra mile to pay you for your expertise.

6. Offer immense value - This cannot be overemphasized. You must be ready to go overboard to offer your audience massive value that will help them move from where they are to where you are.
