Good evening mamas. I do not know if this has been asked before but I need to know what mamas here think about it.
Concerning the use of safety pin on one's garment while pregnant, does it have any spiritual backing or its just a myth? I just returned from a stroll not quite long and my neighbour asked if I had it attached to my cloth. Please help me with responses before fear overtakes me.

It is a common myth especially in the south west. My husbands sister told me same last week that it's for protection I just told her OK. Only illiterates and those who doubt the efficacy of their GOds believe such.

You should have a TT card specifying your timing. Your schedule may be different feom another momma.
In my hospital,
1st dose given
2nd dose 4 weeks apart
3rd dose will be after delivery
4rh dose will be a year after
Last dose should be another one-year ... not sure... so with next pregnancy in 2018 ending, i may have only 1 all through the pregnancy due to my card schedule.
Please discuss with your hospital.

Two injections (4 weeks apart)before delivery and about 3 thereafter.

During antenatal ask questions, tell them how you feel and state any concern or worries you may have.

You will be coached on all the various birth options and baby position.

Changes to expect and those not to ignore.

Urine and blood sample will be taken and tested.

Your bp and weight checked.

Diet and nutrition will be discussed too.

Sex and the best position to adopt as your tummy grows.


Your hubby will be shown how to message your back and legs to relieve cramps( that's if your hospital has daddy class).


Scan will be conducted ( usually 3 but could be more depends on your needs)


You will sing , dance and clap to hilarious songs and do exercises.


Then one nurse will bring out chilled non alcoholic wine , amstel malta or five alive juice with boiled egg for everyone to eat ( my favorite part).

Then we pray and commit ourselves, baby and medical team to God

Pls, is this hospital in Nigeria cos it's too gd to be true esp the egg, wine n malt part plus teaching hubby how to massage. If I jam dis kind hospital Na to dey born every six six months fa.

Una thank you for the warm welcome o. Patking, i appreciate. I honestly can't wait to meet my baby, truth be told, I'm getting tired I feel very uncomfortable, sleeping at night is a blessing these days. Hubby is trying sha, sometimes he stays awake with me till i sleep off. I envy him really, he sleeps off almost immediately he hit the bed.

Now I need to quickly do this before duty calls again.

First I need to appreciate the giver of life cos everything ended in praise. Nothing spectacular about my birth story because it's more of an elective CS even though it wasn't planned to be so.

I had previously felt my babies will come naturally by latest 34 weeks and I was really expectant and tired of the weight but no show, at 36 weeks I complained of back ache to my doc and he decided to remove cerclage (another painful thing) immediately so I could fall into labour naturally but nothing came forth. By this time my pelvic was literally on fire and I could not walk well, was always dragging my feet around.

At 37.1 day the pain was so much that I had to go to the hospital straight from work only to be turned back that it's a normal thing since babies were engaged but to come see the gynea the following day.

Friday 9th of Feb after my appointment with the gynea he decided to check for the babies positions and I was told twin 1 is breech while twin 2 is transverse so he will advice I get sectioned which could be done since the babies were termed already and I'm in pains.

I called hubby who agreed that the babies be brought out same day.
By 9:15 I was prepared for the theater and was awake through the process, 9:38 baby 1 was brought out and I felt empty by 9:43 baby 2 was out I was stitched and wheeled back to the recovery ward. In the course of the surgery I was throwing up so I was placed on oxygen.

Was discharged after 3 days cos wound was healing well but the pain is out of this world, csection is never just an option cos the recovery process is hell though I'm getting better now coupled with taking care of two demanding children.

Mamas please how can I make my baby suck, she has refused to suck from my breast despite all effort she will only take breast milk from bottle, it's so frustrating please I need help. Thanks for the anticipated response.

I really appreciate all the prayers and good will messages. May God almighty continue to keep us all .
I'm sorry my BS is coming late
I checked into the hospital on Monday 12th Feb as scheduled by my doc. He ran a couple of tests to ensure my baby n I could withstand the stress of induction. The results were great. A catheter was inserted by 7pm same evening, by 11pm I started experiencing shooting pains in my back which lasted for about 3 hours. At that point I felt I had seen it all. Luckily my mum was with me, she did the rub my back persistently but that didn't help at all until I was injected with painkiller. It didn't stop the contractions but the backache was bearable.
At exactly 6am, the catheter was removed and I was only 3cm dilated, my doc then proceeded to burst my water, I was placed on drip at about 8am.
At first I felt only mild contractions until the drip was increased, I'm sure I heard Jesus telling me to calm down.By that time my sister and hubby were present as well , they had to take turns in rubbing my back. I really can't explain how I felt but I couldnt talk, my throat was so dry, I had to resort to communicating with signals. I just knew I had to reserve my strength to push.
As at 1pm I was 5cm only, gradually I hit 7cm, at this point the contractions were less than a minute apart, I burst into tears at some point and had to resort to praying n singing, all through this I kept dozing off to be woken up by the pain, apparently it was as a result of the injection I had been given the night before.
By 3.30pm I had progressed to 9cm, I was then prepared to be moved to the labour ward, the doctor and midwife checked my cervix and advised that I don't push in order not to tear my cervix, it took the grace of God for me not to push, the worse part was I was badly constipated. With each contraction I felt like my rectum was going to come off, that experience I don't wish upon my enemy. Eventually I managed to empty my bowel just a little bit making it a bit easier to push. After 3 strong pushes my princess was born, I was given a cut though. In all I give thanks.

Wish all remaining mommas safe delivery, with mother and child in good health. God will direct those assigned to help us to do what is right for us and our LOs.

I've started obron 6. I have just one week sha but I believe it will go a long way.
Since I'm on bed rest I can't go to market and I have no one to send, so garden egg leaf isn't happening.

Cappo, Obron6 works. When I was 23weeks gone, I always felt dizzy and I was on the necessary routine drugs but a nurse told me told me to switch to obron6, ever since, I haven't felt dizzy.
One week is more than enough for God to boost it for you.
