And snapping picture for going to Hajj is Haram. Not even hajj, look at yourself. All your credentials have your picture. Now tell me it is permissible when it is for identification, then state the hadith that said so.

You're asking 4 phone to be smashed for taking pictures. This is never a way to teach people. Zero balaga.
Mr. Balaga, those cases are exemptions due to extreme and unavoidable needs like security etc, not because you willingly chose to, it was forced upon ppl, do you think if most ppl had a choice they'll pose for pictures for passport.

Picture makers of the prophets or picture makers of the mosque...?

The pctures and videos of the Kaaba is everywhere... Saudi Muslims take pictures in the mosque after Hajj... right there... Didn't they read the hadith too...

I agree... Picture of the prophets shouldnt be spread everywhere or taken or depicted... but my picture taking for myself... brother... how I am going to be severly punished for that...
how are you going to be severely punished for that? It was relayed from the prophet who doesn't speak out of his own desire, I hope you don't really want to find out.

And who is talking about food here? Who desent know about it permissibility in some cases. Even the issue of taking pictures have different views by different scholars. What they have centered on is, it is haram to make sculpture, or drawing. But regarding pictures it is a controversial one. Some still take videos as haram. Both you and the shiek lack Balaga.

You are not making anything new in photograph but reflecting what God has created. Image and looking at the mirrow are all the same except image is preserve while mirror image is not. The word tasweer is not the same image of today that the hadith is talking of.

Go and educate yourself or rather start smashing peoples phone for taking pictures in not even masjidul haram anywhere.

This is one thing i dislike from some of our brothers. They cherry pick! If this scholar say something that favours them, the follow it. But if what he says go against them then they look for another scholar that favours them! Anyways! Keep Cherry picking fatwas!

grin grin Cherry pick. For this, u should be very ashamed of yourself for lying. This is one thing I hate about some of our brothers, when they see the truth they will lie and give excuses.

It is a challenge to you now. You have to prove to the world that I am cherry picker. Dig my post and expose my cherry picking or forever shut up.

You can't just wake up and alledge that somebody is a Cherry picker without prove and just because he doesn't agree with you.

If believing in one scholar for another is Cherry picking, then you're also a cherry picker.

You posted one scholar who says pictures is not haram, where are the other scholars! Or is he the only and final scholar?
Anyways i think i am through with you on this!

Photography (tasweer) means the taking of pictures of living, animate moving beings, like people, animals, birds, etc. The ruling is that it is forbidden on the basis of a number of reports, such as the following:

'Abdullaah ibn Mas'ood (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Those who will be most severely punished by Allaah on the Day of Resurrection will be the image-makers." (Reported by al-Bukhaari, see al-Fath, 10/382).

Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Allaah, may He be exalted, says: 'Who does more wrong than the one who tries to create something like My creation? Let him create a grain of wheat or a kernel of corn.'" (Reported by al-Bukhaari, see Fath al-Baari, 10/385).

'Ali (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: "Shall I not send you on the same mission as the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sent me? Do not leave any built-up tomb without levelling it, and do not leave any picture in any house without erasing it." (Reported by Muslim and al-Nisaa'i; this is the version narrated by al-Nisaa'i).

Ibn 'Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Every image-maker will be in the Fire, and for every image that he made a soul will be created for him, which will be punished in the Fire." Ibn 'Abbaas said: "If you must do that, make pictures of trees and other inanimate objects." (Reported by Muslim, 3/1871)

These ahaadeeth indicate that pictures of animate beings are haraam, whether they are humans or other creatures, whether they are three-dimensional or two-dimensional, whether they are printed, drawn, etched, engraved, carved, cast in moulds, etc. These ahaadeeth include all of these types of pictures.

Only if you have listen to him he listed different scholars and their views not just only 1. And who said you must abide by all scholars?

You said it is Haram for live creatures only

Now you quote another scholars saying all pictures whether animate or inanimate are haram. So which scholar are you following? Are you agreeing it is Haram for all type of pictures while still believing it is halal for inanimate. You see how confused you're.

Aren't you also Cherry picking since many views and you have to abide by the one you choose.

Bimpe29:
Islam as a religion has divine rules unlike man made laws. And as such, you either adhere with the rules for the sole purpose of obeisance or circumvent in the light of wandering. It is religion of nobody, you don't do things based on personal reasoning. God has perfected His religion with best ways of life, (Qura'n and Sunnah).
Three bags of dates 'Dabinu' for you wink

Here we are again.... Sheikh Fawzan said taking pictures is Haram even inside the masjid so let's mobilize the campaign grin

What is unlawful and very annoying is people today have no respect for House Of Allah, especially on jummah. I hate the fact that a phone rings during salat. It is very disrespectful. If however taking pictures is Haram, if it is Haram outside of masjid, it is Haram inside masjid too. But unfortunately, we seen pictures of these Saudi scholars everywhere. He should have said People Should Have Adhab with respect to taking pictures

However, when a formal program runs inside masjid, like nikkah, lecture especially if eminent scholar is invited from other place, people tend to take pictures and videos. Nothing wrong with this at all.

You can carry Saudi scholars for head like gala. They are betraying Allah and His messanger (saw) already while you still lick their butt. As for you abdelkabir, didn't you take your selfies two years ago on Eld and you posted it here?. Correct me if am wrong sir.

If taking pictures is Haram, regardless of where it is taken, it will always be Haram. Therefore, his statement is very illogical, excuse me.

The only thing I see worth answering is my taking of selfies a few years back, now its no surprise you are mentioning this because its your nature to act hypocritically, I mean you've lied against me many times and on imam shaafi'i, so you won't spare an issue that seem to dent me, if only you had a thing from what people with intellect have, you would've known that me taking selfies years back and now I'm here condemning it means I no longer take selfies, but no your aim is "hey people, don't mind him he also takes selfies", well I was of the opinion that pictures on phone don't come under tasweer due to some things being hidden from me, but Alhamdulillaah I've left the erroneous position.

You are wasting your time. Do you know better than those shuyukh of yours, abi?. But not just selfies. It includes all picture photographs you have taken and those your are going to take in the future. Keep making life difficult for yourself.

Also it includes live video streaming in lectures and videos too. So you can suck up your ideology. If pictures of Sheikh Fawzan are not available, how you go know him?. So now, you have officially reverted to Jabata manhaj. You are incredible.

You will be disappointed in few years when Saudi will start celebrating Xmas and American Sunnah. And I don't want to hear say you don't follow them nau. We don't know them long time through those ahadith that you people hypocritically skipped.

don't worry buddy. I don't need to engage in endless arguments. You-all have seen the signs of their betrayal and pretense and are gradually stepping back. Don't be surprised if we later found that Zionists have been helping them building and funding Masjid Haram. A new design is up to make it look more like Las Vegas. The more Grand structure it is the more people are misguided.

And this witch also claimed to be "direct descendant" of the prophet (saw) and Arabs are dancing to her tune. She should just embrace Islam if she's so willing. I don't want to hear descendant story. Everyone wants to belong.
