Goodday pals, Please I have a quick question. I have my TRV already but my program is for fall 2018. I wish to travel immediately, I don’t have a problem with where to stay. I hope I won’t be denied entry because of the length of time before my program commences? |

WEIRDPC: I have not. I don't know much on Express entry. I will appreciate your guide on this. Thanks for your response. |

Youngblood28: The big question right here is WHY a genuine student will want to travel 6 months before school resumes. 2 Likes |

Hi guys, please I want to ask a quick question. My parent is considering selling a property that the money gotten from it will cover my tuition and upkeep with extras. Now the question is how do they show this in the sponsorship letter and it ll fly instead of account statement cos their account statement cant work at all becos they are just doing petty things, and getting a co sponsor is tight now cos they are only offering their account statement nothing more. My dad does still have hectares of lands though if after we sell this said property. Please advice needed. Thanks |

In my case, my mum sold a commercial property towards funding my studies. She stated it in her letter as well as the affidavit of sponsorship. She included a copy of the receipt she issued to the buyer, a copy of the legal document transferring ownership of the property to the buyer. She also included a copy of the cheque she received.. as well as her bank statement showing the transaction. She transferred what she was supporting me with and I also included my own statement. Hope this helps. femiart: 2 Likes |

cuteesthy:Dalhousie uni and UPEI offer the course also USASk and Langara college. I'm.very sure of that. I doubt if you'll be accepted into university with 2.2. Try Langara college. Possiblity if securing admisdion into Langara High compared to the uni mentioned above. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by jnyuwa02: 2:26pm On Feb 20, 2018 |
Deboadekoya93: Decisions are made in March. As we speak they are reviewing application and first week of March you should get the alerts including any funding decision. Yes, I got full funding. I think there is only 3 to 5 fully funding spots every year and all go to published students doing MPP research. MPA get only partial fundings from what I remember when I applied last year. Best of luck. Will be nice to see someone from NL in my class as MPA and MPP students often have overlapping classes. |

Youngblood28: Ofcourse you can travel. If you can't, they wouldn't have given you the TRV that early. Many have travelled before a long time before school starts and they were okay. If immigration questions you about it, tell them you came early to acclimatize and learn your environment and get acquainted to the place before your studies starts. Make sure you don't take up any employment before school starts. That would be illegal and can come to affect you when you apply for PR. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by WEIRDPC(m): 3:07pm On Feb 20, 2018 |
Youngblood28: Just to add to what Jnyuwa02 has said, make sure you have a believable story to tell the Border officer on why you want to resume early You must also be able to show proof of enough fund for your living expenses before school starts and also note you can not work until school starts. Since your start date is 7 months away, budget like extra 6k dolls or more. The onus is on the Border Officer to either let you in or send you back. The worst that will happen is, you waste the ticket fee. I would actually love to see you try. Best wishes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Frankrobbn1: 4:34pm On Feb 20, 2018 |
honeyscottage: You can go ahead and send it to me. But there will be a delay in getting response from me as there are many SOP's I'm yet to review from prospective applicants. If you're not in a hurry you can send it down, while you get a response from me by next week. Before sending it to me, make sure your SOP reflect the following and should be addressed in each paragraphs to avoid repetition. 1-) Describe your academic background briefly. 2-) Why you choose Canada not Nigeria. 3-) The school. 4-) The program of choice. 5-)How you intend to finance your studies in Canada without working. 6-) Your home ties. 7-) What you intend to achieve at the end of the program and how it might benefit you in the future. (how your proposed course would increase your career prospects in Nigeria). 3 Likes |

No Co sponsor. My mum transferred what was needed into my account. Just have your dad transfer to your account. Include your dad's statement in your application as well as yours. You can use a co sponsor as well. femiart: |
