Get ELEPAQ, have been enjoying the brand for 2 years now, 7pm - 12am weekdays, almost the whole day weekends, never failed, have serviced it just once, but i change the oil every month. Sometimes i feel like going to give the seller some more money, ELEPAQ is a baby. Freezer, Iron, and other basic appliances.

Honda, i have used 4 different honda generators..They last well for a decade with proper maintainance and shelter from the elements.
2.5Kv is easy for Hondas.. I used the EG3000 for 2.5Kv and i have now a EU3000i for 2.5Kv ,quiet running eco throttle by honda as well.. The EU is more expensive but lasting longer and fuel saving is excellent.. I used a small EU1000i before but had to surrender it at the airport because it smelled like fuel and they forbid it on the flight..

I also had a Big Quiet honda 4500 heavy duty outdoors grade.. I traded that for a peice of Honda grass trimmer.
I just bought a new Honda grass mower also.
I am honda all the way for small engine equipment.. but i drive a toyota car ..

The Honda EG3000 lasted me 4 years using around 8hours a day every day and even used with some exposure to rain and such.. The thing was abused and still gave me faithful service for 4 years..

The Honda EU3000 gave me 5 years service doing 12 hours a day and even a few months of 20 hours a day.. Then the engine and carburator was rebuilt and it has gone right back into service but i travel much so it sees very little use now by my neighbours. Those things can reach 20 years with lite useage of 4 hours a day or less..

The price of Honda will be almost 10-fold of all the other brands he mentioned. Honda is Japanese, the rest are from China, I guess.

USA.. All my generators are in Hawaii and i have since fled that place as of November 2013.. I got a new place in another state in USA where there is regular metered electricity, so no genrator here.. I only bought new Honda grass cutting equipment for my new house here..
My neighbours by my place in hawaii are keeping my generator there. I think they use it for washing machine and then they use a smaller one for their solar backup.. My house there is abandoned to the bush and the neighbors keep my valuables..

If i get a generator for Nigeria, it will be a Honda EU2000. But for now i have started a solar power kit for Nigeria.. If i visit and the place proves to draw me there regularly, then i will get a honda generator to back up the solar kit..
Also by now, i have over ten years experience with honda and know how to do all of the basic servicing by myself.. My neighbor in hawaii worked as a mechanic for the local Honda equipment dealer and taught me a lot when servicing mine.. He also did solar installations and taught me that as well when servicing mine.. Honda is easy to self service because nothing major goes wrong for a very long time. Just change the oil and air filter as ordered, keep an eye on the spark plug and clean the spark arrestor if your model comes with one.. The carburator usually goes bad before the engine and we just service the carburator or get a new one for very cheap after 4 to 5 years of daily use.

Honda is more expensive but cheaper in the long term over 10 years.. Some people can buy a new cheap generator every year or two, and constantly spend to repair it, that will add up to more than the cost of one honda generator used and serviced for ten years...

Have you guys ever seen a Ford generator. My bro uses the 2.5kva variant and I can confidently say the fuel consumption is just like tiger gen with average load such as freezer and TV. The gen has the ford eco-boost technology, and I doubt if the gen has ever developed any fault before, apart from Honda other Chinese gen Na fluke, get an original American gen and you would be rest assured that it won't give you any issues for years to cone

Bros you are right and there's no way you can compare Europe /USA quality or standard to Nigeria specification or quality.
90% of generators in the Nigeria market are China made though quality differs.

Suméc fireman is Still the popular brand because they also produce spare parts, other companies like Thermacool, elepaq, Honda etc don't deal on parts.
I have all this experience because I deal on generator spare parts.

You are right but if you still maintain suméc fireman the same way you treat ur Elepaq it will still serves you.

Most people hardly change oil in their generators.
For you to continue to enjoy that ur Elepaq gen use original Suméc fireman products

cleaning all the necessary. From fuel pump to changing of spark plough and air filter and most of all i dont stress the gen. No pumping of water and i don't use it to on fridge everytime when its not necessary

But Tec thermocool and thank me later. Using since 2012.
Always service(change oil, clean air filter, and spark plug) depending on usage

A lot of people use them for mobile homes, mobile construction companies that use electric power tools to do their work in locations that do not have electricity. Others carry generators to their mobile market sites for temporary power supply during street fairs or picnics in the park.

My own was from when i bought forested rural land and started building a house with my own two hands where there was no electricity. I got a generator and also solar panels with inverter and batteries.
I have since moved on from that and my generators and solar power system has since been handed over to others to have.
I am connected to municipal power supply everywhere i stay now.

That was enough for lights, TV for half a day in an area with #2 or #3 ranking on earth for rainfall. Not always sunshine. Even in the best region if earth for sunshine and with a very large solar power plant, a generator is a very good addition in the rare case that sun does not shine for a few days or damage happens to the solar power system.

I started with a generator first and then added solar. Solar was so expensive for me at the time while needing to spend $ on house construction. So when i got solar, i got a very small output system. I upgraded the system to larger output after some time but still not enough for 24 hour power use.
Solar is worth it but more costly to begin. Generator is cheap to begin but more costly after years of petrol, oil and service and buying new ones. Most people do not have big money all at once for solar, so they spend small at once on Genrators and then little by little they spend more than solar over a 20year period. Solar panels last at least 20years for full output but can still output above 50% even after 30years.
No generator has lasted me more than 5 years -unless you buy the very expensive big ones that will need lots of repairs to last beyond 5 years.
