We've seen it all before. Kabo Air had a couple of 747's so we are not short on memory and until air transport transits from a business to an industry all the hullabaloo will be as fickle as a typical Hollywood marraige. Next. Abeg. Air transport is not for Nigeria(ns).

For your 2nd question: Have you heard of the Airline Leasing business where big airlines lease some of their fleet to other airlines as a result of insolvency or to generate more revenue? Airlines do this all the time.

For your 1st question: yes I will feel safer buying a fairly used car from a company that takes very good care of its cars like the oil companies or big banks. Same goes for an airline. Where do you want the owner of Air Peace to get the money to buy a brand new plane? Haba bros you check am na cheesy

You might be wondering why I know a lot about the aviation industry. I guess I acquired that fascination once I started travelling internationally. Cheers bro smiley
Baba rest abeg... You've made enough points. After all emirates and air peace ain't on the same level. Air peace is doing well for now, even beyond expectations.

Emirates airline that sold that plane to air peace isn't insolvent Bro...and what kind of revenue will they not get by using the plane themselves instead of leasing it out

secondly, your analogy using bank and oil company vehicles is very faulty....they don't use their vehicles for very frequent long journeys

these fairly used planes have been practically resident in the air all their lives...you can't expect a public air transporter to buy a brand new airplane and leave it sitting in the hanger unnecessarily ... the plane must work very hard to cover its cost and also make a worthwhile profit

so buying these fairly used Boeings is more like buying a fearfully used Chisco Luxury bus, and not any bank or oil company vehicle. Caveat emptor smiley

That shows you how difficult Nigerian business environment is. We have to give kudos to anyone venturing into it at all. At least, they make bold effort to provide jobs for few Nigerians and tell the world we are not too horrible to be totally incapable of doing something for ourselves.

I weep for a nation whose national airline has been killed, no recent government in the history of oil bloom did anything to revived the dead sector and you watch as every sector including printing question papers for school is been encroached by foreigners. Nigeria, I am not happy for you. U are a colossal DISGRACE.

Sir with all due respect, do you think before buying that airline, their own pilot has not been assigned, air hostess ko, at least one or two from their other fleet would be moved in.

But why you are advocating for them that they are providing jobs for us, do you know that for the ten pple they employ as per nigerians, 1000 would pay the exorbitant fees and maintenance. Let stop appreciating the small meal given to us while they carry the larger ones to their banks.

Just saying

I never said one region will rule the country perfectly. It's a baseless assumption. The position is once again up for grabs in 2019. Goodluck

Airpeace is really trying. though they need to work on some of their staff at the airports. I don't know why Nigerian youths cannot have some self dignity no matter how small. You have a job and you get paid but you will always be looking for a way to collect and beg for tips. do your job with some pride and humility abeg. After we go dey complain say job nor dey. Someone will put in their best to set up a big business and employ thesame youths who are always complaining only for some youths to dent the image of the business with their dirty attitude of begging for tips.

Your processes and logistics need to improve too. It's not enough to keep acquiring planes.
Imagine processing a refund for almost 2months.
Not to even talk of how crappy their site can be on mobile. Coupled with d fact that they use a fidelity bank payment gateway, with 2 out of evry 3 transactions failing.

If your processes don't improve, you r gonna be back at square 1 just like arik. Your customers should be able to do business with you with ease. Dat simple.
Fidelity bank provide most of the loan use to get that airline of the ground

Mama Peace Patience Jonathan is running her airline successfully with our stolen money. Tinubu too is running his airline successfully with our stolen money. But the national airline has died silently and is resting peacefully. On the judgement day, I will not go to heaven in time. You see that cut across all board even to the security at the local not to take of international side. It that sad that everything is just absolutely turning upside down in this country

My brother it is very painful. How can somebody not have any shame at all. Even if your salary is 30k, you don't have to make yourself look so cheap and have people look down on you like some hungry pest. There are some people who don't go begging for tips but get it or even get something better because someone has been probably watching them and looking for a way to reward them.

Some of our youths think everything is about small change, tips all the time. They don't understand that a good attitude to work and character can change their lives and take them places. Do your job diligently with respect, dress well and don't beg people for tips and see how much respect you'll earn. no body will give you tips that is more than 1k and 1k go finish within seconds.

the funny thing is that the airport authority knows and sees all these nonsense but they don't just care.
