The newly acquired USED aircraft painted with Air Peace livery is a Boeing 737-200, dating back to the early 1980's, and NOT a much newer Boeing 777-200, whose picture I added here for comparison.

efesodje:Craze dey do you. A 24years old plane in reasonably new. Are you smoking weed or something. Arik bought brand new planes for goodness sake. Can you compare a black & white TV built in 1994 to a 2015 LED TV? An aircraft of 94 technology is not good. |

geekybabe:Airpeace Online payment gateway works just fine for me. Every payment I initiated were successfully processed. You can even check-in online. With their brand new aircrafts, highly professional crew and very high safety standards, Airpeace is the much needed fresh air in the Nigerian aviation industry. |

Tozer:Please don't get me started. About d many times payment fails and you have to go and complete your booking at the airport. Or the fact that they don't update their website with needed info. I booked a flight (los - jar) only for me to get to the airport and discover they have not flown that route in 2 weeks. Yet customers kept booking and they didn't put any disclaimers. I fly air peace a lot and I have worked in the travel industry. They try. But expanding the business means they shud be doing much more. Fidelity payment gateway is crappy sorry to say. There are other better and well integrated gateways they could use. If 20 pple are trying to pay on at site at once that gateway will fail with the way it is. Buy aircrafts, but most importantly air peace needs to get better at their logistics and processes. |

Fineman87:Not wanting to sound rude but we Nigerians are a very gullible bunch. Have you ever flown in a brand new plane before? Is it not one of the so called brand new A340-500 I flew from Lagos to Joburg in 2014 that did not have an in-flight entertainment system, with torn seats in a so called new plane? The only new planes Arik bought were those tiny Hawker and Bombardier jets they use for their shorter routes and that was years ago at launch. |

efesodje:You sounded rude but i will pardon you. Anyway you admit that Arik bought new bombardier jets. How many has Air peace bought for even shorter route. Air safety is of greatest importance. Besides why did Emirates sell the aircraft in the first place when they are not broke. Anyway wetin concern me? |

Fineman87:No hard feelings bro I apologise if I sounded rude but na you first abuse me. Lets just pray Air Peace improves on their maintenance culture so they don't tow the lines of Arik. Arik actually started good at inception but as is the case- the Nigerian I don't care attitude crept in and see where it is today. |

dongc:I remember my argument with a staff of that airline who was making a pitch on patronising Air Peace. He said they will buy a new B777, I told him that you dont buy that kind of plane but lease them from GECAS, ILFC or the likes. Now that chap has provoked you to blow the breeze off the new plane story, I hope Air Peace will do the necessary disclosure. |

tete7000:Bros, buying an over 19 years old aircraft from a busy airline with our peculiar reputation on maintaince, is a horrible signal of our showmanship. Novus Aviations are the winner here. |

Airlines abroad will probably never have to put down any of their direct money to buy planes, it all goes through a bank financing. Even Emirate who previously operated the plane only leased it. If only our banks had lower interest rate this airline could approach a bank to finance the deal. Imagine Innocent VS GTB where initial business loan was at about 36% . Interest rate in many western countries is at 0.5 %. - 3%. I don't blame the bank entirely , Nigerian business men can be irresponsible. See Aero, Arik, despite government patronage, the ran the business down, simply forget the loan from banks ought to be repaid. Then imagine where mobile telecom company is going bust . Only in naija. Oando is in similar situation Globacom unable to renew their license in benin republic. Only God know what their health is in Nigeria. I won't be surprise if NNPC declares Bankrupt tomorrow. Or CBN. |

Thunder fire you useless illiterate there. Go and learn common spelling first. If he was a bad person you likes would be the first to call his state. Allen Onyema the owner of AirPeace is from ANAMBRA STATE. Deal with it. Fineman87: |

Is this not Nigeria again? Just wait little the Nigerian factor will kill this laudable dream, either through one dangerous government policy, or corruption or vested interest. If they want to stay long in the business let them just look for a foreign airliner to manage it like a foreign airline service operating in and out of Nigeria otherwise believe me what happened to Arik Air will repeat itself. |
