The incidence was covered by AIT, where witnesses and the victim were interviewed: it was the outcome of an altercation between the church security men and police, which degenerated into an argument and shooting because the police were also denied the right of passage after the church security had barricaded the road during morning service.

it was SARS officers that shot a guard on duty in the Church. The Road to the Church is normally barricaded during church services and the useless SARS officers insisted that they must pass through the barricade to proof heaven knows what, the security guy refused and one of them shot him and ran away, 2 were caught and they were heavily drunk.
Funny enough the guard they shot was a retired military personal.
