Not like we don't have goal keepers but most are untested and some are "forbidden fruits" even though they are fairer than what we have now.
I really blame alloy agu and yusuf for this...
I think right there in the npfl...there should more better goalies...but they're always ignored...
this notion of "my boy" craving amongst some indigenous coaches is killing our football.....

Exactly. But regardless I think it's a good thing that we have solid RB in him and Shehu.

Ehen baba Kog45, I wanted to chip in something regarding Vicmo. If there's one thing that is seriously, I mean seriously lacking in this team is crossing of the ball. Several times I've harped on it but I was told that in modern football the wingers cutback and move towards the goal. But I still see teams like Germany, Brazil, Spain France floating in beautiful crosses. This SE team lack good crossers of the ball. We present no aerial threats whatsoever. It's a deficiency in our attacking game ooo.

Couldn't have said it better bro.

A serious weakness in our game.

Attacking crosses could prove to be a crucial match winner in many occasions

gonna be difficult from the look of things...it seems yusuf is being groomed to take over from rohr....

I expect manu garba to brace up....come take the super eagles job role....I would also expect finidi as well....but he was denied the under 20 job....

main reason why I was so angry seeing that under 20 list drafted by one lazy coach.....

one glaring weakness my untrained eyes can see is that he's poor with low shots

Some of these highlights do not tell the full story.

He made an glaring error against real madrid castilla but he had a great second half in the same game.

He is still learning the game. Unfortunately, we do not have a fully ready keeper.

I raised the question of whether or not Uzoho has a weakness for low shots a few daya ago cus almost all d balls he saved against Argentina were high shots.. Tall goalies often struggle with low shots... If he really has that weakness, then he should work on it...or else our opponents will explore it to d fullest...

Super Eagles Vs Poland, Serbia: Ideye, Ighalo To Return; Nwakaeme, Nwakali Dropped/b]
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is set to hand Malaga striker Brown Ideye a recall to the Nigeria senior national team ahead of next month’s international friendly matches against Poland and Serbia, Completesportsnigeria.com has gathered from a top official.
Ideye last featured for the Super Eagles in their first Russia 2018 World Cup qualifying game against Zambia in Ndola in 2016 which Nigeria won 2-1.
Since joining Malaga in January, the 29-year-old has scored once in four La Liga Santander games.
CSN also gathered from that the trio of Chidebere Nwakali of Aberdeen, Victor Osimhen of Wolfsburg and Hapoel Beer-Sheva forward Anthony Nwakaeme have been excluded from the squad to face Poland and Serbia.
The Super Eagles, drawn against Argentina, Croatia, and Iceland in Group D of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, will face Poland in Warsaw on the 23rd of March and four days later take on Serbia in London.
According to CSN sources, Elderson Echiejile, Odion Ighalo, Ogenyi Onazi and Mikel Agu who missed the last games against Algeria and Argentina due to injuries as well Victor Moses are expected to be named in the 25-man squad for the friendlies.
“No major surprises in the team list actually, but it’s more likely Ideye returns but Nwakeame won’t be in the squad,” one of the sources revealed.
“The first team players who missed the last two games in November will be included.”
Rohr is expected to announce his squad that will prosecute the games before Friday.
Invited players are expected to arrive in Poland from 19th March for the friendlies

I still don't think we've gotten it right with our midfield. I know you want to point out the depth we have in that area, but wait a minute.

Their style of play are similar, we've got Ndidi, Onazi, Agu and Agbo (only that he's a bit more disciplined when asked to shield the defense, otherwise he's just another tackling machine) Etebo is a workaholic like the rest, we won't miss him if he fails to make the final 23 to the WC, and I'm not really excited about his recent performance in Spain. It's really funny how Rohr expects his Midfield to blend when he takes out Mikel to bring in an Agu who's a destroyer to partner with other midfielders like Ndidi and Onazi.

The only different midfielders we currently have in the team are Mikel & Ogu. I'm simply not satisfied with the Midfield selection

I think we should just relax till Poland match but Rohr need to give other keepers chance cos those saves at CHAN would take extremely good goalkeepers to save.

Sir truth must be told,we had a better performance against Argentina in the second with solid defence,no clear chance from Argies.

And a little bit difficult to fully rate Uzoho with that match though he had a decent game just like Ezenwa had it against Cameroon and Zambia, not really threatened.

I think we should wait till next friendlies and see may be he can do it but with the clips i don't think Uzoho is better than Ezenwa and Ajiboye,so better for Rohr to throw it open

Pls guys let's us watch those saves against Angola and Sudan again cos the issue now is not about foreign based vs home based but the best should be picked.

Tbaba pls give us Ezenwa and Ajiboye saves against Angola and Sudan.

They can't. You have to be a citizen of your country to represent your country in any FIFA game. You have to be domiciled in Nigeria for at least 15 years before you can naturalize to a Nigerian according to the Nigerian Citizenship Act.

Something is really wrong and we should all share the blame not only eagles technical crew.

We are not being truthful with ourselves when it comes to sensitive issues, emotions and sentiments always overrides our judgements and is seriously affecting us

Someone was asking here is Dele Aiyenugba not a Nigerian but he was shut down and some started citing 2012 Guinea match, and a moniker said he was blacklisted from eagles, beer parlour talks.

I'm seeing a situation where Austin Ejide would be recalled cos the friendlies would determine a lot and Uzoho just need to tell us he is battle ready.

WC is approaching and the situation especially goalkeepers is getting more complicated cos i realized Rohr doesn't rate Ezenwa and Ajiboye and it would be his greatest undue. He need to give them equal opportunity to prove themselves.

Uzoho i saw in that clips look amateurish and not really good for this WC but tbaba said is old clips but Uzoho joined Deportivo this season or last so to me is recent, but am waiting for friendlies to see may be the goalkeeper trainer has really done a lot with him.

I hope Uzoho is the key cos failing is like starting all over again.

We can't mess this coming WC up by not getting good keeper.

Going by the reports from complete sports its like ideye has been recalled to the team... I really hope he gets dropped if he fails to impress this time around.. I don't care about the work rate or whatever some people on this thread use to rate him... He is. striker and we need goals from him... We can't take two inconsistent and wasteful strikers in Ighalo and Ideye to the WC....

Hopefully Rohr will extend an invitation to Desser, Onauchu,Sadiq Umar,Bonaventure and even Taiwo Awoniyi...just any striker that can convert at least one chance in 5...

I just finished watching d highlight of our game against Zambia, and the chances Ighalo missed just vex me... if he tries it at d WC,we are in trouble!

Nwakaeme didn't help himself with that Algeria match but some believe he should be given another chance citing bad pitch that Ogu used to make statement.

I have said it given Nwakaeme a call again would be an injustice to player like Obafemi Martins,on what criteria and good for Brown Ideye cos is far ahead of Nwakaeme in all ramifications.

Nwakili last invitation left a big question mark on Rohr credibility cos he came from nowhere with no cleared cut performance and such invitation is a waste of place when we have player like Joel Obi looking for a call.

I said mentioning player's name by Rohr or Rohr love a player doesn't mean the player is going to make it,Osimhen not getting call is an example or do we say Osimhen is having a good season than Awoniyi,Kalu or Onuachu.
