Hello house, I'd like to make an inquiry.

Has anyone here invested with Farm Crowdy? It's an agricultural start up that promises much.

Thanks in anticipation.

I personally haven't tried them, but I've been following them since they started over a year ago and haven't seen anyone crying foul.
They also have great presence offline as they have received awards for their involvement in tech and agriculture.
The only problem might be that their ROI isn't enough for some people who are looking for more profit

Thanks for your respose bro. Ive equally been following them for a while so I thought I do a little background check on nairaland.

I think you're right about the ROI but then again, I also think your ROI might depend on the fund you invested.

I will be investing with them God will by the end of Feb when i'm satisfied with the result of my investigations smiley

I've invested in their farms and they pay on time. But their ROI seems to be decreasing by the day. I have stopped investing new funds with them as their ROI is not worth my time anymore.

They've recently raised $1m in foreign capital and i'm thinking their new investors is squeezing every penny out of them. Before now, they used to sell their farms within hours, but now it takes weeks because people are losing interest.

Thrive Agric is way better in terms of ROI. The ROI on new farmcrowdy farms is about half of what Thrive Agric offers.

Thanks for this info. I haven't been available to reply.

Well, I think I'd have to look at the thrive agric and compare what they're offering.

I'm happy reading inquries like this....I strongly believe we are getting there soon as a people and as a nation.

The truth is that our perception or understanding of ROI is often misinterpreted and the reason is that their are different ways of arriving at ROI.
Also, a promoter may attach ROI directly with Capital like a fixed interest and others may attach it with net profit which is the commonest.

Farmcrowdy so far as been a great concept and they have earned my salutation inspite of us running similar business idea......lol....

Hopefully, come month of May, 2018 we shall officially launch ours which has been in existence since 2015 but aren't making noise about it......we have taken our time to ensure that 85% of future challenges that may arise has been mitigated.

Finally, however small an ROI turns out to be in agriculture, it will be far better than leaving that money in the bank or investing it in financial product.....no crime with that but if we all run away with our money, whats the fate of agriculture......

Lets join hands together and support innovative ideas after carrying out our due deligence.
God bless Nigeria farmers, God bless Nigeria

Any investment that does not give an Annual ROI that exceeds the annual inflation rate is not an investment, but a Charity. Any returns below the inflation rate means your money is losing value.

While I wish you the best in the launch of your new platform, I will be willing to invest in your platform if your returns far exceeds the inflation rate. This is the only way to make sure your investors are not losing money.

Thanks for your comment.....but I guess your lines sounds unclear if I read well

"if Annual ROI exceeds Annual Inflation....CHARITY and if below, money LOSS..but you will prefer Charity".....kindly clear.....

We hope to delight our prospective investors as we are currently doing. However, we share
knowledge with our prospective investors before they invest....one of our uniqueness....and we are
opened to learning as agribusiness is a new investment concept in the 21st century, reasons why the
financial institutions are still skeptical about funding farming.

Hope to hear from you.

"Any investment that DOES NOT give an Annual ROI that exceeds the annual inflation rate is not an investment, but a Charity"

Please read the statement again with the emphasis in red. Any investment that DOES NOT give ROI THAT EXCEEDS inflation means the investor is doing charity.

Good morning and happy Sunday....good clarification...the area that seems unclear was who will be doing charity?....and that you have cleared....."Investor"....

Offcourse, no business minded investor would invest on such, nevertheless, too attractive ROI could as well be a bait...hence we take our time to inform our prospective investor the ROI on any of our project and all its terms and condition.

Farm crowdy promised 8-12%, within 4-6months....this is not too bad a return in farming...that gives you between 16-24% annually. You can get this in most financial instituitions....I don't know of other instruments.
I'm a farmer and transporter....lol...

Let's support agriculture.

is farmcrowdy a "plc" company?... where is the farm? How do they produce and when? What do they produce? Why is the owner willing to make investors rich in a risky business like agriculture.. these are the questions you should ask before investing
