Forget the conference in Benin excuse he simply does not want to attend the meeting. This shows his own political agenda is not in tune with theirs.

Saraki's absence was not a coincidence by any chance.

Saraki is surely not comfortable with the emergence of Tinubu as the head of the reconciliation committee.

His countenance and body languages changed immediately Tinubu got appointed - enough to show that he was not consulted before such descion was harshed. Wise decision by the presidency though - a joker to bring out the true colours of various APC stakeholder's at the dying minutes of the 2019 plots...

He became embittered and had since lost interest in playing along with the APC bigwigs but rather opted for a change in strategy which includes intensifying his hussles for new political alliances starting with his apperance at the staged Senator Magnus Abe's thanksgiving in Rivers State.

One thing though, he is a very intelligent politician. One of the smartest in recent times, and must surely be up to some surprise.

Let's stop being sentimental about issues, the Senate fixed this summit date long before the Caucus meeting and you don't expect the Senate president to leave his primary assignment and attend to party issue.

You think your President will be sitting in Aso Rock doing nothing today if it wasnt for the Brains and work of people like Saraki? Or Do you think he became Senate President thru the appointment or nomination of your President?
He contributed to your President being in Aso Rock, but your President didnt want him as Senate President, but yet he is and there is nothing they could do to stop him.

And what about Edo Governor Obaseki. He was with Saraki at the Conference and a host of other senators.
From what I know the Edo conference wasn't just cooked up recently. Much went into planning and inviting members of the International community to grace the event.

That's why you have the Senate leadership from the deputy senate president down to the chief whip. Besides all the 36 governors and other members of the caucus didn't have prior commitments. Anyway Benin is less than an hour flight to Abuja so he could still attend the meeting after summit later in the day
Is it also concidental that his state governor was also meeting or is he also a member of the summit.
