IPOB Blames Azikiwe For Igbo Marginalisation, Apologises To Leaders by Concisenews: 5:07pm On Mar 01, 2018
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Thursday apologised to Igbo leaders who were allegedly molested and attacked by some Biafra agitators in Enugu on Tuesday.

The outlawed group also said it was averse to the philosophies of the late pioneer President of Nigeria, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe.

IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, in a statement made available to newsmen in Awka, Anambra State, said the group accused the late Azikiwe of causing the problems of the Igbo in Nigeria.

It said the late former President was “patriotic to a fault,” an attribute it maintained worked against Igbo interest, adding that Azikiwe’s attitude “brought untold shame, misery and consumed over three million Biafran lives and still doing so till today.”

IPOB noted that if the late Azikiwe had behaved like some of his contemporaries, Biafra would have been an independent country by now.

The statement partly read, ”The leadership and family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra worldwide wish to clarify the events that took place at Eastern Consultative Assembly (ECA) gathering in Enugu on Tuesday.

“It’s is regrettable and unfortunate under the circumstance because it happened in the presence of the two most distinguished and respected elder statesmen we have in Prof. Ben Nwabueze and Chief Mbazuluike Amechi.

“For this, we respectfully and unreservedly apologise to both elders and the leadership of ECA for how the ceremony came to an end.

“What precipitated the collapse of the event was the announcement of an award for Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, who is seen by all as the sole architect of the monstrous One Nigeria project that has brought untold shame, misery and consumed over three million Biafran lives and still doing so till today.”

shocked

Nnamdi Azikiwe was delusional.
Just like Rochas, he was born in the North so it made him see himself less as an Igbo man.

He cared more about the good of the country than he was about his people.

If only the mumu learnt from people like Obafemi Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello who understood that charity should begin at home.

Very unfortunate that these lazy thinkers can come down to this level of insult a great man such as Nnamdi Azikiwe.

I beg to disagree with the notion that azikiwe was patriotic. He was only greedy. He wanted to conquer other people's with his one Nigeria and pan Africanism. He was a tribalist to the core.

Funny enough, today his people call others unity beggers.

I would not say that Zik was great, but he did some good and did some bad. Someone like Ojukwu however, exceptional

Zik was not a tribalist, but was so consumed with wanting to govern Nigeria, even at the expense of his people and their own interest, which made his people have thei backs against the wall...

Awo and Bello did were not gunning on ruling the new Zoo, but wanted to position themselves and their people at an advantage, while Zik was looking on how to position just himself at an advantage.

Oh because he was the one pulling the trigger right? I’m sure he was the one that came from the grave to kill people in Benue last week, or maybe kidnaped some of the girls in Taraba as well.

Meanwhile “Exceptional” nations are calling you and your mother people from the shi.thole...

Do you agree as in U GREE?

Diversionary tactics aka shifting the goalpost still isn't hiding the fact that Ojukwu was a curse on Igbos. Single handedly responsible for the wiping out of a generation of Igbos via a needless war that he couldn't win.

It is safe to say that in this discourse, you made semi illiterate out of yourself. Ndigbo are different breeds and will not fail to tell a king where he dropped the ball even if it requires wearing basket over the head to do so. Nidgbo are not hero worshippers.

You have not read your history books yet. From the above crap, you seemed to come from the class of people who circle the wagon and make political hay out of innuendos.
