They wrote all this epistle but failed to address the main issue, which is the alleged molestation of the clergyman.

He clearly wrote that he will leave that for the Bishop. In essence nothing of such happened.

PRESS RELEASE
ARCH BISHOP AJV OBINNA WAS NOT ASSAULTED NOR BEATEN AT THE CHURCH.

It has come to the attention of Comrade Jeff Nwoha, the General Manager of Imo ENTRACO about a false and completely unfounded story and allegation that Comrade Jeff Nwoha allegedly ordered the beating or assault of Bishop Obinna in the Church during the requiem Mass of Alex Mbata's grand Mother at Ngwuoma on Sunday.

Ordinarily, we wouldn't have bothered ourselves joining issues with those whose only stock in trade is to peddle false news with the aim of discrediting the ever workerholic General Manager Imo ENTRACO especially now that 2019 general elections are fast approaching.

We would have, as usual, dismissed it as something coming from the pit of Hell since there was no iota of Truth in it and Also since Bishop Obinna himself already knows that such incident never happened.

However, we are constrained to take this pain in replying to obvious distortion of facts because of the personality involved. Secondly, for the sake of unsuspecting public who might be tempted to believe such falsehood.

What happened was that during the closing formalities at the Requiem mass, Arch Bishop Obinna took the microphone and was addressing the congregation. As he was speaking, the revered Catholic cleric spoke against the policies and programmes of the government in his sermon.

Then along the line, he called on the government to endeavour to do more roads. Speaking further, he mentioned seat of Wisdom seminary which he said Sen Sam Daddy had earlier promised to construct but to no avail till date. The revered Bishop even acknowledged that the only time that something was done on that Road was by Rescue Mission government pleading with the govt to see that the Road was completed.[/b]

The Church only went chaotic and rowdy when the Bishop gave microphone to one man Mr Iyk Ehirwe from Mbaise, a well known PDP supporter who rushed out from the congregation to talk after the man had whispered something to the Bishop. Mr Ehiriwe immediately started campaigning against the APC government.

At that stage, a lot of people in the Church started shouting in disapproval to his speech and the Church went rowdy for some minutes before the situation calmed down

In all of these, Bishop Obinna was seated and nobody neared where he was let alone assaulting him. It is therefore wicked and misleading for anybody to insinuate that Jeff Nwoha or anybody in the Rescue mission government for that matter ever assulted, embarresed or beat the revered Bishop because as a responsible government under Owelle Rochas Okorocha, men of God in the state and beyond are held in high esteem.
So we call on the general public to disregard the falsehood and dismiss it as coming coming from pit of Hell.

Paschal Amadi. Media Aid to GM Imo ENTRACO.

I observe that the Okorocha Government did not condenm the attack on the Archbishop. They only denied being behind it.
That leads me to believe that they are actually behind it.
The Christians in Imo State need to mobilize their members to ensure that the thug, Rochas Okorocha's Son-Inlaw did not win at the polls.

Following reports that popular Catholic Archbishop, AJV Obinna was attacked by men loyal to governor Rochas Okorocha's son-in-law, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu at St. Micheals Catholic Church, Ngwoma, Owerri North LGA of Imo State during the burial of Late Mrs Mbata, mother of the Pro-Chancellor of Imo State University, Owerri, Chief Alex Mbata, the Imo state government has released a press statement to that effect.

Read below;

"LINKING UCHE NWOSU WITH THE PURPORTED BEATING OR LYNCHING OR ATTACKING OR HARASSING OF ARCHBISHOP OBINNA"

We have as usual, read on the social media several versions of the purported beating or lynching or attacking or harassing of the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Diocese, Bishop Anthony Obinna allegedly by hoodlums or thugs or Entraco officials on the fictitious order of Chief Uche Nwosu, Chief of Staff, Government House.

Those behind this latest blackmail said the incident happened at a burial Church Service in a Community at Ngor-Okpala LGA.

We do not intend to bug our audience with lengthy story to show the reason behind this latest blackmail or onslaught until Archibishop Obinna himself talks on this claim.

However, we say this for posterity sake. Imo people, including youths, students, men and women have thrown their unalloyed support behind the youthful Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu for the 2019 governorship in the State. He has become the subject-matter as long as that issue is concerned, with APC officials and leaders from 24 out of the 27 Local Governments in the State having already endorsed him for the 2019 Imo guber.

Now seeing Uche Nwosu as the guy to beat in the 2019 election, they now think that there is no other way to stop him than through unwarranted blackmail. That is the reason, such a quintessential gentleman and an embodiment of decency should be associated with whatever that transpired at the event in question.

Also note that the issue of being an in-law to Governor Okorocha has refused to fly. So the change in their tactics.

For weeks now, they have flooded the social media with one ugly story or the other against the young man, but to Imo people, such elements are wasting their time. They do not know that when God has said yes to any project nobody can say No.

It should also be recalled that in 2015, in their effort to blackmail Governor Rochas Okorocha out of winning his Second term election they called him names including Alhaji in Government House and Okoro Hausa and when all that had failed, the thugs hired by the PDP and APGA then came and pulled down the Podium meant for guests for the Political debate for the governorship Candidates also organized by the Owerri Catholic Diocese. The same people went wild with the false story that Governor Okorocha told his supporters to pull down the Podium even when he had not arrived the venue of the event. Imo people knew the truth and still went ahead to cast their votes for him enmass.

This time, it is Uche Nwosu because they have seen that he is the man for 2019 with God on our side. And no amount of blackmail or tricks would change the plan of God on the young man to govern the State. It takes someone alive in the things of the Spirit to know that Uche Nwosu is a “Child” of destiny. He has the divine mark. And anyone fighting him is fighting his God. And no one can battle with God.

Finally, in whatever we all do, we should be mindful of the Judgement of God. One day, everybody whether Pastor, Journalist, Bishop and so on, will all appear before the Judgement throne of God. That time, blackmailers and social media won’t be there.

Gov Rochas Okorocha and his Uche Nwosu.
The office of this same Archbishop has pleaded with you three years ago to save this St Joseph's Catholic church at the centre of Orlu from final collapse
All Okorocha needed to do was complete a less than 800meters gutter for Orlu urban drainage project started by his predecessors

But Okoroha has refused to complete the gutters. The church and many buildings in Orlu are increasingly going below normal level
