Omeokachie: He clearly wrote that he will leave that for the Bishop. In essence nothing of such happened. PRESS RELEASE ARCH BISHOP AJV OBINNA WAS NOT ASSAULTED NOR BEATEN AT THE CHURCH. It has come to the attention of Comrade Jeff Nwoha, the General Manager of Imo ENTRACO about a false and completely unfounded story and allegation that Comrade Jeff Nwoha allegedly ordered the beating or assault of Bishop Obinna in the Church during the requiem Mass of Alex Mbata's grand Mother at Ngwuoma on Sunday. Ordinarily, we wouldn't have bothered ourselves joining issues with those whose only stock in trade is to peddle false news with the aim of discrediting the ever workerholic General Manager Imo ENTRACO especially now that 2019 general elections are fast approaching. We would have, as usual, dismissed it as something coming from the pit of Hell since there was no iota of Truth in it and Also since Bishop Obinna himself already knows that such incident never happened. However, we are constrained to take this pain in replying to obvious distortion of facts because of the personality involved. Secondly, for the sake of unsuspecting public who might be tempted to believe such falsehood. What happened was that during the closing formalities at the Requiem mass, Arch Bishop Obinna took the microphone and was addressing the congregation. As he was speaking, the revered Catholic cleric spoke against the policies and programmes of the government in his sermon. Then along the line, he called on the government to endeavour to do more roads. Speaking further, he mentioned seat of Wisdom seminary which he said Sen Sam Daddy had earlier promised to construct but to no avail till date. The revered Bishop even acknowledged that the only time that something was done on that Road was by Rescue Mission government pleading with the govt to see that the Road was completed.[/b] The Church only went chaotic and rowdy when the Bishop gave microphone to one man Mr Iyk Ehirwe from Mbaise, a well known PDP supporter who rushed out from the congregation to talk after the man had whispered something to the Bishop. Mr Ehiriwe immediately started campaigning against the APC government. At that stage, a lot of people in the Church started shouting in disapproval to his speech and the Church went rowdy for some minutes before the situation calmed down In all of these, Bishop Obinna was seated and nobody neared where he was let alone assaulting him. It is therefore wicked and misleading for anybody to insinuate that Jeff Nwoha or anybody in the Rescue mission government for that matter ever assulted, embarresed or beat the revered Bishop because as a responsible government under Owelle Rochas Okorocha, men of God in the state and beyond are held in high esteem. So we call on the general public to disregard the falsehood and dismiss it as coming coming from pit of Hell. Paschal Amadi. Media Aid to GM Imo ENTRACO. 2 Likes |

I observe that the Okorocha Government did not condenm the attack on the Archbishop. They only denied being behind it. That leads me to believe that they are actually behind it. The Christians in Imo State need to mobilize their members to ensure that the thug, Rochas Okorocha's Son-Inlaw did not win at the polls. 5 Likes |

PrettyCrystal: Gov Rochas Okorocha and his Uche Nwosu. The office of this same Archbishop has pleaded with you three years ago to save this St Joseph's Catholic church at the centre of Orlu from final collapse All Okorocha needed to do was complete a less than 800meters gutter for Orlu urban drainage project started by his predecessors But Okoroha has refused to complete the gutters. The church and many buildings in Orlu are increasingly going below normal level 1 Like
