A photo of a man smoking a stick of cigarette immediately after church service in Lekki, Lagos surfaced yesterday and the photo immediately went viral. One of the people that took note of the photo is popular OAP Daddy Freeze.

Immediately after the photo circulated across social media and blogs. It got a lot of reaction from social media users. The smoker was berated by man who rather considers his action as blasphemy and others came to hi defence saying there is no where in the Bible where Christians are advised not to engage in smoking.

One of the people that have come out to defend the unknown guy is Daddy Freeze and according to him, smoking is not to be considered a sin. It is the actions of the pastors that should considered sinful

Did he say smoking? No. But smoking is harmful and if you smoke, you are disobeying Allah and it is a sin.

That's the issue with Nigerians, any socially awkward things like smoking drinking masturbation etc Smoking in particular is considered a sin.. All that God told us not do are actually unhealthy things. God is against fornication and adultery not because He had daughters and wives that He does not want us to sleep with, but because doing such things are not healthy. He is against greed not because we will steal from His plates in heaven, but because it is unhealthy as we have witnessed in Nigeria. Who is this unwise Freeze trying to show the wisdom he lacks by force? Let him first select some poor around him, feed them, house them and sponsor them. who knows if he lives in a big apartment alone with his babes?
