Using yourself as a case study: Since you've started using phone... How many phones have you used that has these features

And are these features what you consider before buying a phone?
I use S8, after hardwares which includes processors, AMOLED display, camera and some health tools, nothing special...

The Curve display is not that good for games, One of the control was right on the edge

They're gimmicks depending on whom you ask.
Chances are a lot of Nigerians don't use what differentiates flagships from midrange phones. Something like wireless charging is definitely not a gimmick. At least i know some Toyota car options ship with wireless charging tech on deck.

Only feature I've not used would be a curved display, I would like to have a feel of it tho.

I currently an iPhone X as my main device.

Well there are battery tests on Youtube. Gsmarena also has their own standardized test. I use the RN 4X and the battery life is the best i've ever used(I've used a lot of phones). Now i trust Gsmarena battery ratings to an extent.

One thing is sure, if you're not absolutely obsessed with massive displays and battery life, the extra price you're paying for the the Mi Max 2 is NOT worth it.

about the battery life, i can affirmed to it u dt d ba3 life is magnificent... My typical usage alwys give me minimum of 8 hrs Sot frm minimum of 24 hrs of on time...
If u are d type dt does not use ya fone as a playground, 10 hrs of sot can b achieved as well...

As long as you have to place your device on at a spot to charge.. then it's gimmick... Can you chat or play games when using wireless charging?

Xiaomi is not interested in features that 1% of it user want..
Aside high end processors and software.. other features na gimmick..

Thanks a lot baba for the expo, I'm content with 6 inches of screen size, afterall the 6.4 inch of max 2 comes with a significant PPI reduction. It's just battery that I'm considering and if redmi 5 plus' battery life is anywhere as good as Infinix note 3's then I'm good to go.
