The topic should have been "Why Visa applicants get refused" wink

Other points to note are... The Consular / Interviewer having a bad day grin

The Consular / Interviewer trying NOT to exceed the daily apportioned visa quota. undecided

Sometimes, there's very little you can do when trying to obtain a Tourist (B1/B2 U.S Visas). The decisions by the Consular are mostly subjective as compared to a Student (F-1/F-1/J-1 Visas etc...) which are more based on merits and individdual qualifications. smiley

If you need more info., about obtaining U.S student's Visas, feel free to reach out!

I wish every Nigerian that applies for a Visa is given this year.

This country is useless

Some of us just want to watch Nigeria burn angry

Questions asked?

No matter the country, they will always ask
"Why do you want to come to xyz country?".
"Where will you stay in xyz country?"
"What will do when your visa expires?"
-
I believe these are the most important. There are many other questions which just add on to these ones.
-
These 3 questions alone can determine your character. An insincere person, or a truthful person.
-
A friend of mine back in 2004, used to play golf in his father's club. A small boy like me. His father was opportuned to be in that golf club. My guy, did not even have kobo. He was just doing Daddy's good boy.

He went to apply for US visa. They called him for interview and asked him why he wanted to go to USA. He told them he wanted to be playing golf.
-
Shikena.
They gave him.
-
Guy went there, joined one golf school. Nack ball small before beginning the main koko.He married a Naija girl with USA greencard.
-
Juat say what you want to do. You yourself, make sure you are telling the truth. And don't sound like a begger. Oyibos hate beggers.

Boss, abeg see below...

"An F1 visa is issued to international students who are attending an academic program or English Language Program at a US college or university. F-1 students must maintain the minimum course load for full-time student status."

"A J-1 visa is a non-immigrant visa issued by the United States to research scholars, professors and exchange visitors participating in programs that promote cultural exchange, especially to obtain medical or business training within the U.S."

"An H-1B is a visa in the United States under the Immigration and Nationality Act, section 101(a)(15)(H) which allows U.S. employers to employ foreign workers in specialty occupations."

I hope this helps... smiley

LOL..if you know the number of nigerians applying for visas to different countries everyday, you will understand that you can be denied visa even if all your documents are genuine and you answer all questions correctly. You think the consulates don't want to make more money. the more visa application they reject, the more money they make. Most of them charge about 20k upwards for application and thousands of people apply. they can interview 30 people a day and end up giving only 5 people. the other 25 will reapply and pay another fee. even if you run from one consulate to another, you will still pay. They'll continue to scam us because they know nigeria is a useless country with daft leaders.

Nigerian embassies abroad are doing the same with their visa fees.

Go ask the Indians and Chinese what they also go through trying to obtain Naija visas.

All these comment here on visa matters from jumia is all false. I am
Lawyer whom defended harden cases in different high coirt s in Nigeria, then tell me what I can not defend or answer about my self that I have been refused USA visa 6 times with all accurate n complete details and information.
I discovered that the embassy on daily basis has a certain amount of visa they which to grant to people even with good answers and once that little figure is reached , be it if you are professor ,they will refuse you out right for no reason.

When I went for mine, the lady just looked at me, I was properly dressed in corporate wears. She just went through my documents and everything was 100% perfect, she only asked me to write my mobile number in a provided space in the form and with proper documentation of my files, she said I may go.

That is true and that is why u should reapply with the same document and procedure and one other thing that people don’t know that makes d consular refused them visa d second time
