please kindly change it to an employment activity under personal history. Government activity on your pr application triggers extra background checks which can prolong your application processing time.....between 1-5yrs.

It was a long and tortuous journey.
It all started in 2014.I sent in application in dec 2014 and they started processing in March 2015.There were long pauses and in between and various forms had to be updated.Police report was done twice and some affidavits. They even went to the point of checking the name on the registered line of my former workplace. They also picked salary payment claim of my former place of work stating that I couldn't have been paid over the counter as the CBN cashless policy didn't allow that.A 45-paged defense had to be done quoting several publications per NCC and CBN supporting my position.Cashless policy was first run in pilot phases and later suspended in some areas. My state fell in this category.
In all,God showed himself mighty.
Passports arrived on Monday....2014-2018...can anyone beat that? cheesy

Congrats.

Is it a paper based application and how did you know they confirmed registered line of your former place?

Please help buttress the part of cashless policy.

Thank you for your response @happytbaby. I was told I can buy tbills with savings account, but at maturity it would be paid into the current acct.

I am thinking of telling the bank to include the current acct as the 2nd acct. what do you think?

cc: glitteringstar,

happytbaby:
Option 2 should be fine. However, you can still buy TBills so as not to keep the funds idle or is GTB saying that you cannot buy TBills from a savings account?

I do not think the money should be moved to current account, what is the reason for moving it there? Or is that GTB will not give reference for savings account, I am trying to get the main issue......I think I faintly recall someone said something like that.

Thanks.
I don't think you understood my question.
If CIC ask for tax clearance and the person does not have either because their employers don't remit the deducted tax or they don't even pay maybe because they are not captured in the system, how would they go about it?

Since deductions were made and it always reflect in the fellow payslip or salary account as the case may be. Let him get six months payslips and salary account statement as well then back it with LOE. He can add his letter of appointment in order to show the deduction and different between gross pay and after tax pay. I believe this will suffice

FSWP 2014...it was paper based.

They wrote to me that the number on the company letter head carried my name...maybe they used Truecaller.I registered the company line based on my oga's directive as it was a new branch in my zone.
For the cashless wahala, they wanted to see the money in my account but I was cashing over the counter and they sniffed some lies as it was impossible to cash such amount over the counter due to the policy hence our defense that the policy wasnt in effect during time of consideration.

I thought he should be concerned with the account that has his POF.

Just to show extra proof of source of lodgements. Nothing major. You could do without it unless your VO is overzealous.

Cheers!

I suggest you do your tbills else where joo. Tbills confirmation advice, statement from GTB , gift deed from your sibling and her own transfer advice plus generic GTB letter or CIC format (in which case you won't need the statement) will do.

Once they credit the proceeds of Tbills to current account, they will charge you when you draw the money.

I do tbills from a savings account all the time.....or maybe its because its a hybrid account.

you can actually do Tbills from Savings account with GTbank

The point is that they intend to credit the proceeds to the current account at maturity not that you cannot invest from it.

She should try to reconfirm. I did with GTBank too and the money was deducted from my savings account. I don't expect them to pay into my current account at maturity without an instruction from me. They will definitely pay it into my savings account.
