Mehn truth be told k.dot is good but comparing both of them is like comparing biggy n PAC...they both have there unique way of outsmarting each other. When u compare with stories j.Cole is better tho. From wet dreams(dreamvile) to neighbors (4 your eyes only) to infinity bro.
Really, wet dream vs sing about me I’m dying of thirst? Kendrick is far above jcole, none of jcole albums are anywhere near good kid mad city and to love-vendor a butterfly, all classics. When it comes to storytelling name any Jcoles storytelling as good as:
Keisha’s song
Sing about me
Art of peer pressure

Like I stated above, I'm a fan of K. dot and J. cole .

When it comes to storytelling, you can't compare 'Duckworth' with 'Wet dreams'.

Besides, Kendrick Lamar got assistance from 'Kid Capri' Becon, and also ted Taylor..

'It was always me vs the world
UntilI found it's me vs me
Why,why,why, why? Why,why,?

Lamar was still beating round the bush until he came up with that Anthony shii.. 1mins after the hook, chorus and Lil verse lool

Wet dreams got pure storytelling with cool flows from The beginning of the song '

'Wasn't nothin' like that'
Man, it wasn't nothin' like that first time
She was in my math class
Long hair, brown skin with a fat @ss
Sat beside me, used to laugh, had mad jokes
The teacher always got mad so we passed note'

#YOLO

Go listen to sing about me I’m dying of thirst and then compare to wet dreams lol. The song is one of the greatest story tellings ever. Jcole is very good but kdot is not his mate unless you can mention any coles album as good as good kid mad city or to p1mp a butterfly

Heard sing about me. For me that's the best story song ever .. Excluding sing about me, Jcole still remains the king of storytelling rap. listen to Breakdown, Let nas down.

If you mean in this generation, yes. There is Nas, Eminem, Jay Z. Kings of story telling. Btw also listen to Keisha’s song by Kendrick. Great storytelling too

Except you are referring to Joe Cole; the former Chelsea player.

Apart from him, any other J Cole is just J Cole.

Say who? I've bumped section. 80 & GKMC more time than you'll ever in your lifetime. K.dot may be a better lyricist but he does not touch Cole when it comes to storytelling.

Keisha’s song is one of the greatest storytelling songs of all time. No j coles dong comes close. We can argue this all day
Peer pressure
Sing about me
Keisha’s song
How much a dollar cost
And many more

We could argue all day that's true. Its all about perception. J. Cole has his highlights too
"Lost Ones"
"Breakdown"
"Crunch Time"
"3 Wishes"
"Let Nas Down"
"Wet Dreamz"
"03 Adolescence"
"4 Your Eyez Only"
J.Cole has so many stories. I can go on and on. What makes Cole stand out is the relatability. J. Cole connects with his fans at a level Kendrick can't. That's what makes Cole have have a very loyal fan base.

I won’t include loyal fan base, both artists has loyal fan base. You can’t listen to the entire GKMC album and still say Cole is a better story teller. GKMC was certified classic and is based off Kendrick’s life in Compton, Cole on the other hand is yet to drop a classic album. I rate both of them but Kendrick is far ahead to me, although it’s really a matter of choice.

You should ask yourself what the parameters for naming an album a classic. Mass appeal, critical acclaim, cultural impact, sales? It ticks all those boxes. And yet, four years after 2014 Forest Hills Drive, its singles still relentlessly play, its messages still endure, because despite its heft, it never lags, never feels heavy-handed, never sounds like anything but the truest expression of one kid’s life, as seen in his own memory, playing back like film. Perhaps it’s apropos then, that in the five years since good kid, m.A.A.d. City, which set the bar for new classics, that it’s Kendrick Lamar’s peer, occasional collaborator and friend, Jermaine Cole, who is responsible for one the most wholesome, listenable, end-to-end album experiences of recent times. It’s an album that not only leaves you thinking, as all great art should do, but one that leaves you feeling better, which so little art does. You obviously don't like Jermaine. Hate him or love him, 2014 FHD is a classic. Also Friday Night Lights is a classic. Just that its a mixtape. Why do I feel like you don't even bump Cole at all? For you not to know this

Kendrick is very good but honestly, he tries too hard and sometimes his music is noisy.

I switch it to a j cole track and automatically, I relax and get into that smooth groove.

Hahaha my bro, there is no way 2014 FHD is a classic album wtf.. can you back up this claim with any reference online? Friday Night lights is great.. classic? No. GKMC was the last classic hip hop album followed closely by to love-vendor a butterfly. These are facts and I can back it up with references if you want. I listen to Jcole, he’s great but nowhere near Kendrick. Kendrick has no bad album but jcoles last album was mediocre. This a fact bro
