APC is full of propaganda, they lie too much and is so disgusting.

I also attached the date before BMC accuses me of lying

Don't act like I don't know people still smuggle goods into the country. Even if they shut down importation of foreign rice (or any goods for that matter ), people will still smuggle it. Land borders have been shut down but people still smuggle cars in from cotonou. Even in the US, people smuggle drugs in, so it's almost everywhere.

All this one wey una de talk no concern me. Na how person take buy 50 kg of rice for 11,500 naira de surprise me. Since when rice cheap like dat?

That is not hard at all though, if you are also in Ogun state, Abeokuta to be precise, there's Metros Rice and it's sold at #11,500/bag for 50kg and there are other sizes too like 25kg and so on.

For people that still fail to see something good coming out of Nigeria, am just really ashamed of you as the only set of people to make Nigeria great are Nigerians. I don't know why we are never able to appreciate our own effort instead we condemn it. And this lots are people that have their own personal business they run. I just don't understand.

Abi, can you keep buying Italian suits and neglect your local tailors, or Italian footwears and deny our local manufacturers.

Let's change our mentality, it's not about APC or PDP or politics, its about Nigerians.

Let's always put this at the back of our heads.

Most are smuggled in.

Though there are a lot of repackaged rice in the market. Abakaliki rice is now very polished unlike before, and is probably the highest percentage of rebagged rice in the country.
Aba produce the bags while abakaliki bags them.
But all in all, the vast majority is being smuggled in possibly via Benin Republic.

The economics of scale supports that theory.

I laugh in Japan grin. You know what my people use to do? They buy the sack from who knows where!! Pour any rice into it and seal it together!! My brother, They have all the machines in manipulating all these things.

The day I saw how they do all these things, I nearly cried! They were pouring same rice into different sacks (with different names) and seal them up, here in Lagos.

So if go to market and u think you are buying Mama Gold because of the name on the bag, my brother, na lie ooo.

Go to okoko and see how they are bagging rice. The same rice will be bagged into over 8 different bags. What you bought may just be local rice in a locally produced 'foreign bag'.

The rice revolution is very real and farmers are making money. You won't know this because you can't be bothered to dig a little deeper.

Pls don't say wat u no nothing about, rice is not rebagged at Okokomaiko, get ur facts right.
If u no wat u r saying then u no Okokomaiko is innocent of or allegations.

I am against smuggling goods into the country. But APC govt lying that Thailand rice factory shut down because Nigeria no longer import Rice is a big lie I'm trying to bust. Moreover is the duty of fg to protect our border and contain excessive smuggling of contraband goods not lying up and down

Many are haters, Audu Ogbeh never said they no longer imports rice from Thailand! Rather that imports has virtually reduce such that the mills are no longer getting business.
If Nigeria can produce it, why import?

Which price has gone down drastically? By selling a module of long grain of rice for N550 and small grain for N500 is what u called drastically down? Rice is still very cost bro

I agree we have useless and evil politicians in Nigeria but sometimes the masses nor dey try too. How can people be so much interested in foreign goods that some of them even would prefer to waste money to travel to go and buy.

You will want to buy ordinary peak milk and they'll ask if it's Nigeria or holland you want. why not just sell peak milk Nigeria only. is the Holland better? you see people flaunting gucci, versace and prada everywhere but if these foreign brands come to Nigeria to open stores, they'll fold up in less than a year because the rich Nigerians who can afford it will still prefer to buy abroad rather than buy in Nigeria.

I do not blame the aba boys and others for repackaging items and selling them as imported. if they bag rice and put our local naija name, we nor go gree by so it is better for them to package the rice in Thailand bags or any other country so that we buy. We must learn by fire by force.

Mister man that thing you just bought is a local rice bagged in a bag with foreign inscription. Come to Aba here and see people manufacturing bags of mama gold and stallion and other foreign bags rice to bag local rice and to be sold as foreign rice. I am a victim of these Aba boys, they sell it to mostly customers that comes from Port Harcourt, Akwa Ibom and other surrounding states or cities so that you will find it difficult to return it when you have bought them and left Aba town.

I just tire....to even think he can get an imported rice for 11500 beats me. I mean if u want want to criticise the government...it should be done with sense
