Hello everybody, I am really grateful to you guys for this amazing platform. May God bless you all.

Please I have some issues as well.

I'm a 400 level Engineering student of University of Lagos.
We are obligated to do 6months industrial Training(Internship) second semester starting from may.

Due to the fact that my mum stays in UK and my brother is doing his masters there, I want to do my internship in uk, since accommodation or welfare might not be a problem.

But now, the problems I have now is i don't know how to go about it.

Please can anyone just give me a good advice.

My brother is ready to write me an invitation letter, but I still need to know the necessary steps required so as to guarantee my chances of doing my internship there.

Thanks in anticipation

You need to find a company in the UK that is willing to give the opportunity to do internship with them first, you need to write them and attach a letter from your school indicating that you are a student with them and permission to do your internship in the UK, if the company accepts you then they will give you a letter which will be part of your visa application

Go ahead and provide the email and chats correspondences about the job engagement and payments. This will justified the inflows and your sources of additional income. The ECO will be happy to see these emails and it will rule out small small money lodgement.

Thank you for your responses. God Bless you

I sincerely dont know what the letter from my PGD coordinator should contain.

Please help.

You are in a full time employment. Why do you want to complicate your application by declaring that you are also a student when you did not mentioned this in your last application. I will advise that you remove this aspect or any document relating to your M.Sc study. Concentrate on addressing the issue raised by the ECO which has to do with unexplained inflow into your bank account.

The gurus in the house - especially justwise and ekpotek; may God bless you so generously for your priceless assistance here.

Kindly spare a thought for me on this:
1. I had no plan of a UK travel this year at all; but I got an invite to the UK for an immigration briefing towards a possible permanent stay in another country .
2. Due to its suddenness, the only way is to get a loan to fund my travel which will definitely show up in my acct statments.
3. I want to apply for a 3 day visit using the super priority process because the conference date is just next week - that's about 530k.
4. Can I honestly explain the bulk deposit that will show up in my acct that I borrowed it because the invitation came at very short notice?
5. My monthly salary is up to 500k from a permanent employment, though my expense monthly is as much! I only have savings of about 1m in a cooperative & pension of about 11m. Would submitting their statements count positively for me?
6. I intend to manage my expenses by staying with a relative in UK and staying for just 3 days. Will a budget of about N600k fly for me?
7. I'm married with children. I have only travelled to one Schengen country once and twice to a neighbouring West African country.

Thank you for your time as I humbly await your advice and counsel.

Thank you so much sir, God bless you for your help.

But I've been searching and applying to all the companies I know, its not been successful, most of them require me to be in uk before even application.

What I really think I should do is to get the visa first and get there and find a suitable place to apply for internship or even do a voluntary work.
But I really want to know the chances of me getting visa if I do this, and also is it still visiting visa I should apply for or tourist?
And also want to visit my brother and my mum.
I will be sponsored by my uncle I'm living with in Nigeria, whom we both share the same surname.

Please I really need help...THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR

You will find it difficult to get internship or voluntary with any organization in the UK on visiting visa.

I'm not sure i have come across anybody who was able to secure a visa to do internship in the UK from Nigeria though i have seen people go the opposite direction.

This should not put you off, keep trying and get your family in the UK involved as well.

@Justwise, How about the possibility of the OP getting Visiting Visa based on his circumstance as well?

Considering the urgency of your situation you have to apply and give full details of your situation because i can't see any other way out

Your salary range is good so 600K will do since you have somebody in the UK to put you up.

Look for affordable ticket that will not eat deep into that 600K

Thank you sir, yes I have gotten my family involved.

I came across one agency online (bunaac), they help in getting unpaid internship and also sponsoring visas for their clients for $1600.

What do you think about this sir?

That is a scam don't waste your money and time. There is nothing like sponsorship visa in this case what you need is standard vising visa with academy as the sub-category.

[Hello dear,
Thank you for making out time to answer me. Counting from my first visa I would be 5yrs in April 21st and I have travelled out but not more than 12days at any time. My worry is that my current visa is running out by June 16th. And I was thinking I have to wait 28days before the expiration of my visa.

Just to reiterate, there is gap between my 1st and current visa. My 1st visa ran out in oct 2015 but when I applied for the 2nd one it started in Dec 2015 instead of Oct 2015 so thats where my confusion started.quote author=justwise post=65598018]

Counting from the first visa when will you clock 5yrs in the UK? Have you left the UK and stay more than 90days?[/quote]

Thanks justwise for the additional answer. But how do I address the lump sum? Will they allow my explanation of borrowing fly?

That is the safest explanation you can give considering the urgency of your trip. The key thing here is that your salary is good, you just have to submit enough evidence to justify the purpose of your trip.

Good Morning,
Please I need your advise on this: we submitted a group application and we paid for one of the applications that the passport be delivered through courier and other persons will be available to collect physically.

Now we have changed our mind that the other four should be delivered through courier. Can this service still be used through TLS? If yes, how do we go about it? We submitted the application 1st of March.

Thanks as I anticipate your response.

I asked that question so as not to give you misleading answer.

The 28days rule means that you can submit your application 28days before the completion of your 5yrs.

If you decided to apply at the completion of your 5yrs no problem, you don't have to use the 28days rule thing.
