Partners you really want to know if your engines are in top shape?

Next service open your valve covers and see for your self.

It's not all about using synthetic oil, you can use mineral oil and change at the proper intervals.

oluwaseunla please post the open valve cover pic of the 2001 civic you are working on. I know the car has never used synthetic engine oil.

Here you go.

From the above. I don't see where the driver is at fault for the sludge. Your driver is not responsible for maintenance (oil change). Therefore, it is not his fault.

It's your fault and mechanic.

Well you me be rite .... At the end of the day partners need to be more careful . If you have a good car , plus value it and don't let any drivers come out here shouting up and down 30k rental on a good car you spend money. Responsible owners of good cars take note.
And also talking to my manager, he said any tokunbo cars that comes in, should have the engine flush for the fact that you are not sure of the previous oil that was use. If you can get what they call engine flush it will be better, than the method the mechanic use to flush out the engine. From now on lesson learned. I will import my own engine flush.

Thanks for the heads-up bro. That driver / mechanic truly deserves to be locked up! I think their nonchalant attitude towards the use of cars centers on the fact that those cars ain't theirs.

Well responsible owners need to take their time. For these I will take the 'L' for it. I just don't want any drivers coming out here shouting up and down 30k rental. Especially without seeing the condition of the car.

Need to look into it. If you can get the rite stuff it's worth it especially if your car is tokunbo. Cars from overseas use thicker oil coz of the cold weather. So you need to properly flush out the old oil before using new oil brand.
We can agree to disagree respectfully

Ha well we need to flush out the sludge now abi. Even the mobile 5w 30 you recommended . I was told that it is only good for cold climate weather. Using that in a warm climate might be to heavy of oil for the car.
But am sure that flushing out the old oil of a tokunbo is a good idea. Before you start putting new oil ... am not trying to dismiss your expertise o. I will take my chances with the foreign mechanic advice. Again am not trying to dismiss your expertise

All we say is, stick to recommendations. If your car calls for it, ignore at your own peril. Their is a reason why manufacturers recommend a certain type of oil for their vehicles. Anyone can be careless, whether you are white or black.

if you follow the right drain intervals there will be no sludge, sadly let's look at it this way.

Uber drivers do an average of 250kms a day.

Xhp should not be used for more than 3000km.

Will you service your car every 2weeks? wink

Engine flush can disintegrate gunk in the engine and recirculate it to where you don't want, causing greater damage.

A vehicle in cold region, using thick oil will have issues especially at start up.

again I doubt you are consulting an expert. Cars in texas use 5w30 and 5w20. Is texas hotter than lagos?

Depending on the quality of synthetic oil used wink

Good morning Sir/Ma, please I need your advice .

I went to service my power steering rack, change the fuild, service the fuel injector, changed my plugs and I later scanned the car with a car scanner and no issues was found.

After all, I decided to throughly wash the car inside and engine( cos the power steering oil has spilled inside the car from the faulty power steering rack)

When I was about to pick it up from the car wash guy, My car was jecking and the gear could not move to park or drive.

The car wash guy called his mechanic to fix it but my car was till jecking. He said one of my plug socket is bad and that's why my car still jecks(dis was a day after I serviced my car)

I want to do the engine servicing and gear.

My question now is .....what should I tell my mechanic to do, as regards the plugs, gear and which brand of engine oil and gear oil should I use?

Note...my car is Honda Accord DC. 2.4ltr engine.

Thanks for your advice .

Water entered into your range switch (google it)

Clean coils and sparkplugs and jerking will stop.

Attention everyone, ogunvic41 is officially a fugitive of the law, he was detained on Feb 28 and release after 2days. Promising to come back to the police station on March 6th,
he never return to the station up till this moment, then on that same March 6th romeo3 called complanaint/kunletoks that an Army man in barracks has also detain ogunvic41 ever since then his number has been switched off.

A guy on this forum prince stand as shorty for ogunvic41 @ the station, when kunletoks called, he says he doesn’t know ogunvic41 that much, after few days shorty number also switched off.

If you hav any dealings with him, or he has been calling you in secret, notify the public now.

Romeo3 denouncing ogunvic41 in public is not enough, you are his partner when this transaction was done, and you need to be arrested as an accomplice, so prepare yourself for detention.

All of you involve in cheating this guy, you cannot run for long, I’m now fully involve, get ready SARS is coming for you.
