I BLAME THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY FOR KEEPING QUIET FOR SO LONG A TIME, A LAW SHOULD BE PUT IN PLACE THAT PROCEEDS FROM THE SALES OF ALCOHOL SHOULD NOT BE SHARED WITH THESE SHARIA STATES, THERE IS NOTHING BAD ABOUT THEY SHOULD EVEN REJECT THE MONEY AND SEND IT BACK TO THE FGN.

FOR THE FACT THAT THEY COLLECT THE MONEY IT MEANS THEY ARE STILL TAKING PART IN THE ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION.

They shouldn't since the sale of alcohol is prohibited by law in their respective states so they should not partake in any revenue accrued from taxation on alcohol and this isnt limited to VAT but also excise duties and corporate tax from distilleries.

Basically this administration clearly brought to the open that Nigeria was built on injustice, hypocrisy and oppression. We won't go far, if we don't face the hypocrisy of the religious north. Despite the religious hypocrisy it still has the highest abusers of drugs, highest death rate in Nigeria, serious illiteracy, demonic blood shedding, unproductive population who continue to latch to the national purse while contributing little yet causes the nation to expend so much on ammunition because of the brand of Islam they practice. Sharia is beffittng only for the poor and not the elite. Tell me alcohol wasn't served at Fatima Ganduje's wedding. They should be left out of alcohol tax let us the south benefit from our 'immorality' alone.

That's the point.

If it were to be the southern states...the northerners would have convinced Nigerians why they alone should take from the taxes since the south doesn't consume alcohol...

This points to the fact that the southern leaders are culpable and extremely weak.

They always collect it without shame , afterall they already collect Crude oil taxes without shame even though they dont contribute a drop of oil
