I used the mi note 2,6gb/128gb global version
And it was a great experience,put in mind thou,SD 821 is not as optimized as the new SD 835,but still on still i enjoyed every bit of it thou,
And as for the issues you metioned,i never experienced any of that wen i used mine.

I use 6gb/128gb version of Mi note 2. No heating issues at all. I just got an update 3 days ago since I bought it last year November.
