No, they aren't eg. Wesley Snipes, Kevin Hart, etc. If they were generally lighter in complexion, then people like Trevor Noah wouldn't be mistaken for a Mexican by black Americans.

Another thing is, America is a multiracial society, so I'm sure the people you carefully selected have mixed bloodline somewhere in their family tree.

Furthermore, not all Africans are darker. Some are lighter, which again depends on the racial makeup of each individual African countries. In South Africa for instance, people tend to be lighter because most of them have mixed ancestry (the good weather also lends a helping hand grin), ranging from Khoisan to Caucasian, that's what happens in countries where there's more than just one race-people sleep with each other & reproduce.

I think it has a grain of truth, because if you read comments online, most people's 1st impression of him, is that of a Hispanic male. They don't think he is black.

In general it is because there is usually a healthy admixture of of European haplotypes. Prior to Europe outlawing the slave trade european ethnic minorities were sold into slavery in North America. Point of fact is that the original slave population in the American colonies was primarily Irish. as slavery was gradually abolished in Europe the African slave trade was spearheaded by the Jewish slave traders. These Jews began to breed their African slave stock with the Irish slave stock. Over time as the European slaves were phased out the African admisture increased proportionally resulting in darker and dark slaves. With the abolition of slavery in the United States the "African American" genetic pool stabilized around certain areas resulting in, more or less, a generalized look that became stereotypical of Americans born people of African descent.

You are left with a mongerlized sub-species inferior to the original stock. This is why African Americans are generally looked down upon by both African expatriots as well as Irish expatriots. This is typified in the Amerimutt(56%) meme which is currently experiencing a surge of popularity on European and Anglosphere websites as a way to insult Americans.

This is for the most part untrue. The Irish were indentured servants in America, not slaves. White supremacist in America created that myth to belittle the suffering of African/African American Slaves. Here's an article for you: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/17/us/irish-slaves-myth.html

Irish and African slave stock were never bred together. Black Americans are lighter skinned because white male slave masters routinely raped and impregnated black women.

The Irish look down on African Americans because they're white and they look down on all black people including continental Africans. Africans look down on African Americans because they believe the lies white folks create about us like the mess you wrote.

Nobody mistakes Trevor for a Mexican especially not African Americans, he looks absolutely nothing like a Mexican, that's just a dumb joke he made up because he was in California and the majority is Mexican. He has been mistaken for an African American or a Puerto Rican though. There are African Americans lighter than Trevor and they aren't biracial nor bleachers because for AA bleaching is rare and highly frowned upon.

Hispanic doesn't mean Mexican and he doesn't look like a Mexican. Hispanics can be as dark as Akon, it only means that you come from a Spanish speaking country. The reason they thought that he was Puerto Rican is that he was in New York at the time and there are a lot of them there. By the way, Puerto Ricans are mostly black.

Not all African Americans have light skin, some are quite dark, some are light. A lot of them have white admixture, but also Native American and Chinese, if you remember Oprah Winfrey had the ancestry DNA test and was surprised to find some Chinese ancestry.

Some people do, not everyone. Depends on where their family lived.
I had African American next door neighbors, the husband's mother was half Chinese. They were from California. You will find Chinese ancestry in many people (black, white, Hispanic) if their ancestors lived in a state with high Chinese population. Oprah Winfrey turned out to have 8% Native American, 3% East Asian and 0% white ancestry:

"Before taking the DNA test, Oprah said she didn’t believe she had any European or Native American ancestors. Her test results showed her to be correct about the European ancestry (she had 0 percent), but wrong about the Native American part (8 percent). She also learned she was 3 percent East Asian."

What do Oprah and your neighbor's husband's mother's bloodline have to do with African Americans? There aren't many African Americans with Chinese bloodline, that is a lie. I live in California and we don't have a high population of Chinese. The admixture came from Black women being raped by the white slavers, and relationships with Native Americans, whom some were/are black tribes if you didn't know. undecided
