I think u can swear an affidavit in court that affirms your original date of birth and state that there was an error in your waec date of birth.

that should solve any issues

industrial chemistry cutoff last year was 56%

if the cutoff won't change, or if it won't increase you'll need 60% in the postume to make that mark.

we can't say if cutoff will rise or drop

So, its left to you now..

Alright. thanks.

Chemistry
Which of the following materials cannot be extracted from its ore by using carbon or carbon (II) oxide as the reducing agent? A. Cu B. Zn C. Al D. Pb E. Fe

The ionic radii of metals are usually
A. greater than their atomic radii
B. unaffected by the charge of the ion
C. less than their atomic radii
D. greater than those of non-metals
E. the same as their atomic radii

I think the first one is Cu, as Copper has one of its ore as a sulphide. If my memory serves me right.
For the second one, going for E. I'll to consult my text.

See someone vying for industrial chemistry, guess this is not your first year trying. I was offered this course but looked down on it, truly one man's food is another man's poison. Can you share with me what attracts you to this course? Thank you.

I don't think there is any institution in Nigeria that will reject an affidavit sworn in a high court.

Truly, it's not my first time but I have a strong flair for chemistry like I love it to the core and I was looking for a course that would lead me to pharmacy during my masters. so that's why.

why did u look down on it. you would have researched, it's really good.

CHEMISTRY.

Which of these is the most reactive metal in the periodic table?......
(A) Potassium
(B) Sodium
(C) Francium
(D) Cesium

I thought the answer is potassium but some people are saying it is francium. Please I need the CORRECT ANSWER with REASONS.

The correct answer is francium

It is the most reactive metal. Found at the lower left corner of the periodic table....

And also, fluorine is the most active non-metal at the right hand corner of the periodic table...

Fluorine=MOST REACTIVE NON METAL
MOST REACTIVE ELEMENT

Francium=MOST REACTIVE METAL. (MOST ELECTROPOSITIVE),

Electro-positive deals with metals.....reason why 'electro positivity' can also be tagged 'metallicity'

From top to down a group, electropositivity increases.....that means the metal at the bottom of the table is more reactive than the first on the table..... Francium is found dip down.. Hence... It is more reactive

Congrats on your jamb Exam result.... Welcome to UI

Discard whatever are your grades in your O'level, what should be your concern basically is just atleast a credit pass in your five required subjects which you obviously have.

With all honesty,260 is a very decent score. If UI decides to retain the same admission procedure used last year, you confidently have a total of 32.5 points out of the possible 50 for UTME.Without delaying you with unnecessary stories,MLS cut off point for last year admission was 60.375.

For you not to subject yourself to unnecessary anxiety during the release of cut-off mark,It will be more dignifying for you to aim for a total aggregate of 65.9 or above. To achieve this, you need a PostUtME score of 67 or above which shouldn't be a stress for you if indeed your UTME score is a product of your diligence!

Congratulations to everyone(on this thread) who had successfully blasted the just concluded UTME.I'm proud of you guyz and I wish you the very best in your forthcoming PostUTME.

Boyejo123. . . .What's your UTME score? (I am curious).

industrial chemistry has a link to pharmacy. after your Bsc then the person can apply for pharmaceutical chemistry during masters.
so it's either pharmacy or maybe something else when am done with the Bsc programme.

Pharmaceutical chemistry is only a branch of pharmacy, i prefer pure pharmacy.

Oh! You thought i rejected the offer? No!. I'm planning for transfer after my 1st year.
I think industrial chemistry is very broad, more than pharmacy.

Thanks a lot.

I used to think that potassium is the most electropositive metal in the periodic table according to electrochemical series.

We keep learning everyday!

I had a score of 245, I applied for pharmacy. The score is somewhat low for pharm. I intend doing a Coc to Industrial chemistry.

Talking about 2017, i made pharmacy my first choice. But i happen to be slightly off Cut-off. I was offered industrial chemistry. I didn't choose it myself, i didn't offer Maths. You'll be compelled to offer mathematics.

PS: I am not an aspirant of UI.
