you have no idea the number partners who leave the business every day because of vehicle maintenance issues.

You also have no idea the number of riders that enter the market every day, I have taught a lot of spare part suppliers that it is cheaper to use uber to my workshop than pay Bike 2000 from ladipo Mushin to ogba. Do you think he will not use uber for other activities? The market will soon explode. Mean while from 7pm to 11:11pm I made 7190 yesterday.
Thanks for posting your earnings.. You are motivating factor on the forum

It will get worst, over 300 people join both platform daily, too many cars no riders.

Out of the 300 how many are good cars? How many are full timers ? Keep in mind rating helps to reduce a lot of cars on the road too. Without rating I think the market might be saturated. So factor in all these points . And for sure it is only the platform that can certainly say if the market is crowded or not. Because they have all data at their fingers tips. We can guess, but I prefer facts

Experience for e-hailing business is grossly overrated.

All that is required is to be a good driver and simple common sense.

I decided to test driving on Uber

My first week driving was last week and I did 92k on Uber after Uber deductions and I dont even know Lagos roads, just making use of maps

Your input is truly a welcome one. Hope it will motivate others

Very true. And also how many partners are truly making money. How much are you spending on repairs. With me money comes and goes. Some cars make money for me others have to spend money. Like some business don't expect to make money rite away. But I belief once you get the hang of the business you can start making money. Not all business makes profit first year in business.. But I guess as long as you are not adding money to it . Let the business generate money to fix those problems... rite now am not even thinking about profit till I have at least 14cars. For now am just investing more cars .
The business is not that easy , as people are rushing in trust some are rushing out too. By the time sludge kills their car they will just focus on having their own personal transportation than putting their car on uber. At the end of the day maintance will run people out of business. Most people can barely maintain their car on a simple bases , talk less of on commercial bases . Rite from time Nigeria business always fails due to lack of maintenance culture... look at the lagos state transportation system ...

May be YES, may be NO. But if you talk now, the car owners will ask what the drivers are bringing to the table forgetting that drivers life is more than their investment. I pray God will protect us all from every danger on the road and may the soul of the driver Rest In Peace.

Yes RIP to the driver. Every job as is own risk factor. Police officers military personnel, people that clean high rise windows fire fighters, arm robbers wheather the job is legit or not.
Nobody is forcing anyone to do these jobs my brother. You factor in what is more risker , sitting home going hungry and your kids can't eat coz food no dey. Or your wife lives you coz you can't be head of the household, or beg for money from morning till nite or starve to death. You have to make choice. You have to weight in the opportunity cost .

What really causes this thing? I'm curious. The app itself, or faulty GPS, or nonrecommended phone?

Bros one trip since last week of 4.7 dropped to 4.3, it’s definitely not that one guy that brought you to 4.35, there’s something you’re not telling us, also the issue of the fare not properly reading, can be caused by ur network and phone, always make sure the app is on in the background, never close the app while on trip. I remember having that issue my early days, by the way am still new buh I ve learnt alot from the bosses of the house. No more free trips from me to riders. I can’t deal.

Are you sure it’s blocked or suspension, coz I remember getting suspended for 24hrs by Taxify after dropping to 4.2. Now am rocking 4.55 even after that girl dropped my rating. Meant to be 4.65

My man they can never ever never ever come out to say the market is saturated, the easiest way to know it’s over saturated is, for Taxify they are currently doing advert for people to take 3 trips and get one free, if you’re listening to Soundcity Fm 98.5. And beat fm 99.9. They ve many cars now on the platform and they know if partners/drivers come out and not get rides, they will withdraw there cars and focus on other things. Business gone bad.
