Your response clearly signifies you don't have experience.

This is what I mean.

Under rental, you only take care of minor repairs or even no repairs at all like in my own case. I like doing all repairs myself to ensure quality

Under HP, everything is on you driver, everything for at least 18 months. Suspension, ac, linkage, and maybe engine (if unlucky).

To survive you need to save at 8 to 10k weekly to cover for any expenses minus regular service.

You need to pay rentals, maybe 35k

Fuel 10 to 15k weekly (depends on the car)

You will eat, your family, extended, mistresses and concubines.

Under HP the minimum amount you should make weekly is 100k to be comfortable.

To make a consistent 100k weekly is not by reading the advice by gurus here.

Everyone knows theory is way different from practical.

Like they will always say, experience is the best teacher.

I still stand by my earlier assertion : DRIVING UNDER HP ARRANGEMENT FOR A NEW DRIVER W/O E-HAILING EXPERIENCE IS SUICIDAL.
Nawao so you believe the bullshit that guy said that he made 92k on Uber after fuel, ask the likes of Romeo, Stanlee, Chillex, if that is obtainable this period of vehicle surge. No allow anybody deceive us abeg, like we don’t drive our self. .

This rating we always hammer here is over rated. Oga gazzuzz remember that Toyota Echo I sent someone to bring to your workshop? Its been on the platform for six months now and the driver has never been blocked cos of rating. He is currently at 4.7, better than some with corolla and Camry.

So dru boss, ratings no dey pursue driver as much as you think.

So in that case I go buy 00 camry o and put am for the platform. I go buy naija used one. Make I try am sha.

about ratings and older vehicles,
this is a 1998 toyota avensis, I have never gotten an issue with it as per bad ratings, I use it regularly on uber.

Clean interior, chilling a/c, good entertainment, and good drivers personality.

How did you get a 1998 car on uber?

where did you see fuel. I said uber deductions, meaning after Uber 25% commission had been removed.

reason why I said that is cos I realised most people on taxify talk about earnings before taxify deductions

Hmmmm 1998 to 2002 grin. Yes o well on another note... Suge knight voice... if you want to keep your uber car Engine running for a long time . And if you want to avoid changing engine oil every month wasting 5k or more ....if u want your engine to run without issue and avoid sludge... and if you want the best products, imported original mobil 1 advance synethic. Get at me . I do things from experience. After experiencing sludges in my car . I needed to take action and with action I decided to start importing advance mobil 1 . Your car will last longer with advance Mobil 1.
With Advance Mobil 1 your car is guaranteed to go for 15k miles before you change your oil. Saving you cost. Now imagine if you are doing engine oil change with 5k engine every month. With advanced Mobil 1 full synethic 5quarts good for 15k . You don't need to worry for good three months . People don't be penny wise and pound foolish , chose the advance mobil 1 directly from dru23 imported from God's own country. The good old USA. Looking forward to all my nairaland fans and uber car fans out there.

Advance Mobil 1 the engine oil for smart car owners and car champions.

This is not paid advertisment by mobile. Just doing it on my own to import grin

I still stand by my earlier assertion : DRIVING UNDER HP ARRANGEMENT FOR A NEW DRIVER W/O E-HAILING EXPERIENCE IS SUICIDAL.

yes, I don't have any experience, I made that clear, and I dont even know Lagos roads at all, yet I'm making money. I like it like that and there's always room for improvements.

I left taxify office at Admiralty 5.30pm yesterday when my taxify was activated and I could go online, I still made 7400 on taxify yesterday. today by 12pm I had made 11k on taxify alone. now I'm just chilling and playing with the kids at home. will hit the road again by 4pm.
now I wonder what I would be able to achieve with your so called experience if I can achieve this as a complete jjc.

my point still remains, you don't need experience to make money as a driver, you need common sense and be someone who enjoys driving.

the other stuffs you're talking about is managing finances, it's not about making money. even experienced drivers may fail in the aspect of financial or money management. and yes, driving under higher purchase needs serious planning and managing money, but the 1st step is to be able to make the money and this is my whole point, making the money is not so much tied to experience.

so for new drivers thinking of joining the platform, don't let anyone scare you. Just do it!

25,000km oil change intervals. Don't let the label fool you, engines will start to fail.

Every 7k miles is OK with me. I read the reviews on it .some people change every 15k miles bro. But me personally I will do either 7k or 10k .. Either way it's better than changing oil every month or every 5k miles.

after my car's have covered 5,000miles, I do oil colour and texture checks every week before I finally replace oil, some times they do not get up to 5000miles before they are due. It's not a I size fits all situation, depends on the state of the engine.
I recently did an engine overhaul on my rio 1.4liter (piston rings and valve stem seals) this particular engine will have no issues attaining 10,000miles.

But still with the advanced mobil 1 12k oil change should be OK now .. Regardless the condition of the engine . Or maybe the engine is starting to weak than .

A lot, I believe depends on driving conditions. cars on e-hailing is a different ball game, they are the extreme end of the divide.

so if Mobil says 15k miles, Just divide by 2 or 3 to be safe, depending on your pocket
