That was when he was given liberty to play on wing. Now, he is more a defender than a winger.

Even, from your stats, Victor Moses who is more a defender is better dribbler than Onyekuru.

Now, let me update you.

Victor Moses is among the top 100 dribblers in the world as at 2017. 76th to be precise.

What about Onyekuru?

Boss Joseph1013, Sir Terzurum5, Sir Orkpekyandega, Chief Icon4s.... all other monikers and protocols duly recognised.

I think with the appointment of our youth and cadet team coaches, we need to create new threads for them to follow up on news about them separately from the Super Eagles. This has always been the trend... what do you suggest? Normally it is Joseph1013 who handles and creates all threads on our under age sides.... so what do you guys think? I am dropping this here because none ahead of the 2019 Tournaments have been created just yet.

Stop with the pity campaign, I am talking about 2 players here Victor and Henry. I can't give Henry anything he has to earn playing time from the same coach that Moses earns it from. Everyone knows Henry as a goal scoring winger but this better dribbler than Moses story that u are kicking is a lie. I watched him in the champions league he has skills so this is not like I am against the boy but if Moses is not known as a dribbler then what else do u think he is known for? Moses can beat u on the spot like he did to win the PK or he can dribble your whole team like he was doing last season for Chelsea. I can tell u are a Chelsea fan because u guys forget a lot. Same reason why all Chelsea fans I know were crying for Diego Costa to get sold now they don't have mouth in the viewing center.
what pity campaign are you talking about, and did i say moses cannot dribble , you cant just expect me to buy your own opinion, so you feel henry is only known for scoring goals ,, you arent the only one that watched him in champions league, moses played in the champions league as well they are both out of the champs league so what you talking about. bros dont let us go back and forth with this.. stick with your opinion let me stick with mine

Avoidable? Somebody is about to enter your box and u think it is ok to just let him in and hope that your fellow defender helps. What if he helps and the ball is passed to his man who is then open? Like I said football is not ballroom dancing, u have to make contact at times.
Kel is saying that if he had been in position he would have sniffed that out rather than do the difficult thing of bringing the player down.

I just want to address the Rapid way insults at an alarming rate happens on this thread. I know a Whatsapp group that had some old Super Eagles players including Emma Okocha. The group was known for in depth analysis of the game and healthy debates.

Then there was a breakdown of order and two members of the group went on a Rapid session of insults. Sad part is that two of them were friends who knew themselves for years. Then there was an exodus of members from the group due to that breakdown including the Former Super Eagles members.

So the insults have the potential of not only hurting those the words were hauled at but also making members not take the thread seriously.

We should take each others as brothers and take each others family members as ours. When I lost my father last October, I got Condolence messages from this thread that in a little way made it possible to deal with the painful loss.

We should keep that love among us growing just as tbaba1234 sent a gift to another members child.

Thank you and...

Finito.
Counsel of the year Sir.

How I wish we took this counsel seriously.

Yeap, you are very correct boss, until one of the new boys prove otherwise, but I do think Ndidi and Ekong are starting to put their imprint and show their importance on the team.

Now I understand your point about Nacho, he has to come up with a way to be indispensable in the team. (Maybe he can become our freekick specialist) or even with Leicester City. Top 10 Premier League Dribblers

MARCH 31, 2012 BY BACK PAGE FOOTBALL
The Premier League does not have Lionel Messi, or no longer boast the trickery of Cristiano Ronaldo, but here are the top 10 players to have produced the most successful dribble attempts in the 2011/12 season to date:

10. Gareth Bale (Tottenham Hotspur) – 49

Last season’s PFA Players’ Player of the Year has dribbled past opponents on 49 occasions this season. This included a standout performance in a 2-1 victory at Wigan where the Welsh winger successfully dribbled past opponents on half a dozen occasions and scored Spurs’ second goal midway through the first half which proved to be the winner.

Gareth Bale has completed 82% of his open play passes in his 28 starts this season, an improvement of 8% on last season. In fact, Bale has improved his figures in the Goals Scored, Assists and Crossing Accuracy this season as last season’s award still remains a mystery. Or was it because of his solo effort against Internazionale in the Champions League that swung the voters his way for the Premier League award?

9. Nani (Manchester United) – 49

Despite suffering from a couple of injuries this season, the Portuguese winger has succeeded in 49 dribble attempts in 22 starts for Manchester United in the Premier League this season. The former Sporting player was instrumental in Manchester United’s 3-1 victory over Chelsea, handing Andre Villas-Boas his first defeat as Chelsea manager. Nani scored the second goal of the game with a rising drive from outside the area before winning a penalty in the second half (which Wayne Rooney failed to convert).

Nani has contributed with 6 goals so far this season and eight assists in open play. Both of these are down on last season when he was a strong contender for PFA Player of the Year. Nani’s 1,876 minutes in the Premier League this season are more than any other Manchester United midfielder during an injury hit season for the team.

8. Jose Enrique (Liverpool) – 50

One of Kenny Dalglish’s better signings during his second spell at Liverpool, Jose Enrique is the only defender who makes the list. The Liverpool full back who often overlaps Stewart Downing on the left flank has successfully beaten 50 opponents with the ball at his feet during the 29 Premier League games he has played.

Jose Enrique has played the full 90 minutes in each of the league games he has started this season, only missing Liverpool’s 0-0 draw at Tottenham Hotspur in February. The former Newcastle left back has picked up just two yellow cards this season, with one of his strengths pinning wingers to the touchline. Enrique’s attacking abilities has seen him attempt 115 crosses leading to 2 assists in the Premier League to date.

7. Stephane Sessegnon (Sunderland) – 51

The Sunderland forward has been one of the better attacking players in the Premier League this season. Stephane Sessegnon is amongst the top 10 in successful dribbling attempts (51), open play chances created (46) and open play goal assists (7).

Stephane Sessegnon is currently Sunderland’s top Premier League goalscorer with 7 goals, making his return to score against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday following a three-match ban for a straight red card in the Tyne-Wear derby. The Benin international has improved his Pass Completion Rate, Crossing Accuracy and Minutes per Created Chance in comparison to the 13 starts he made last season.

6. Luis Suarez (Liverpool) – 52

Despite sitting out 5 Premier League games through suspension, Luis Suarez makes the top 10 having successfully dribbled past players on 52 occasions during his 25 game season. The controversial Uruguayan is Liverpool’s top scorer with seven Premier League goals to date.

No other player has committed more handballs than the six Luis Suarez has been penalised for to date. Another category Suarez leads is free kicks won per game. Some opposition fans won’t be too surprised to hear that stat.

5. Scott Sinclair (Swansea City) – 54

The Swansea City left forward has contributed to the Premier League debutants with 7 goals, all at the Liberty Stadium and five from the penalty spot. The former Chelsea youth scored 19 goals during the Swans’ promotion campaign last season and has adapted well along with the Welsh side in the Premier League.

Scott Sinclair scored one goal in his 18 Premier League appearances on loan at Wigan Athletic in 2009/10 and has greatly improved his goal rate with Swansea, scoring his 7 goals in 30 games. Sinclair has not scored since a 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea at the end of January.

4. Nathan Dyer (Swansea City) – 54

Praised for their exciting passing game, Swansea City also have two of the top five dribblers in the Premier League. Along with team mate Scott Sinclair, Nathan Dyer has taken the ball past opponents on 54 occasions through 30 games this season. Dyer caught national attention during a 3-2 victory over Arsenal in January where he scored the home side’s second goal after winning a penalty for the first in a game he dribbled past three Gunners.

Nathan Dyer has created more chances (25) than team mate Sinclair (22), but only has one assist compared to his team mates three. The former Southampton youngster has succeeded with 56% of his dribble attempts, whilst Sinclair’s success rate is 48%.

3. Moussa Dembele (Fulham) – 63

The lively Fulham forward has caught the attention of a number of football fans and pundits alike for his dribbling and technical ability. Moussa Dembele scored his only 2011/12 Premier League goal to date in a 2-0 victory at Wigan at the end of October. In that game, the Belgian international successfully dribbled past four opponents but failed to create a single opportunity for a team mates.

The former AZ player has scored four Premier League goals in 55 appearances, creating 74 chances for team mates, resulting in five assists during that time. Manager Martin Jol may want Dembele to increase his productivity levels at Craven Cottage, but the Fulham number 30 has certainly shown his ability to entertain in the English league.

2. Victor Moses (Wigan Athletic) – 72

Following the sale of Charles N’Zogbia to Aston Villa in the summer, Wigan Athletic fans and manager Roberto Martinez were looking at Victor Moses to fill in his place. The former Crystal Palace player has certainly had his opportunities on the left wing, but has yet to fill into the French man’s boots. Chairman Dave Whelan criticised his manager for leaving Moses on the bench for a home game with Swansea City recently, but the three Premier League goals scored by the Nigerian so far this seaso have made him anything but prolific.

Victor Moses’ 72 successful dribble attempts are down on the 109 Charles N’Zogbia produced in a Wigan shirt last season, and the new left-sided player is also down on the former’s goal assists; five to one. N’Zogbia’s nine goals last season were a big factor in Wigan avoiding relegation last season, can Victor Moses become the 2011/12 hero in the final eight games?

to start with we need a AM but not as desperate as we make it look, we even need a striker more than an AM, we just got our self a Joel obi who will come good,

Mikel agu invite is impromptu, and in that case you will go for a player you know on and off the field, Rohr won't want to disrupt the feeling in camp with a wrong invite, the team for Russia is already set.

we should be expecting 2 players in each position Joel and Mikel in the atracking position, if you have been following Rohr you will notice he fancies Mikel Agu, who knows he might be seeing what we don't see.

just like Mikel, obi and moses plays in the defensive position sometimes in there club side, Agu might actually have attacking instinct too.

i have not been impressed with the Agu guy though but I'm just been neutral
I can't agree less.. How many shots on goal did Ighalo get ?

For the Serbia game, the coach should go back to how we played Argentina up front, start Iwobi as the leading striker, Mosses and Iheanacho as supporting strikers. And at the break substitute Iwobi for Ajayi. I love Ighalo's strength and determination, but with the type of game him and Moses plays, it affects the free flowing game, the rest of the team played when they beat Argentina.

The 3-5-2 formation is one of the formations in football and mind you not the best formation cos sometimes it exposed a team,so sometimes we need to be cautious.

Truly we beat Argentina with it but doesn't mean we can beat any team with it.We should praise the team for having different formation.

On Iwobi,i will not deceive you it's not the formation that affected him and Iheanacho or are you saying they can only thrive in 3-5-2 alone, check out Ebuehi when he came in and settled in 4-2-3-1 with our believe that he is only good at 3-5-2.

Good for the team to master different formations.

Yes you said the truth,i respect his opinion,But mind you those players will not be invited,Sone Aluko? I think he is on international wilderness....Not that he is a bad player, the last time i check,he has played 35 championship games and have 5 assist for fulham....rohr had to invite gabriel okechukwu akwa united than any of those player you mentioned...Azubuike for the future he is young,Nwakali also...Nosa Igiebor? Abeg no call that player, how can you consider someone who has only played 2 games in a year, make una dey check stats sometimes.

Sunday steven kwanu?? Na wa o
Sir it seems you are not getting the point.

My major point is that guys are free to mention players whether good or bad,no need to take it personal cos is a football thread where we need to brainstorm.

Am not canvassing for call up of any of these players but just trying to tell you what brought their names up for discussion.

And mind you any of them can make the team cos i have example, Mike Emenalo from nowhere made US 94 team
