Dovehorizon:EDITED: In bought mine at 500k. During negotiations and inspection, I noticed some funny sound in the engine but the seller convinced me that it was from top cylinder. Unfortunately, the mechanic who changed the top cylinder a week later mistakenly disconnected the engine oil switch so my engine eventually knocked. 600k for a tokunbo engine wasn't really funny for a car I bought at 500k so I was forced to install Mazda 626 engine + gearbox which coat me roughly 170k. The car works perfectly fine with the mazda B6 engine and the AC is ice cold. The Mazda engine is more stronger, cheaper and resilient than the original kia engine. I remember when I needed to buy AC compressor for the kia engine, the cheapest compressor I saw at ladipo was priced at 37k but i got the compressor for this present engine at less than 3k. My question is, can they accept my 2007 cerato on uber and taxify platforms if they eventually find out that the car is running on a Mazda engine? Aside that, everything in the car works perfectly. |

Thanks for this Insight atleast I have learnt something today, the engine of this cerato is healthy and should there be any issue with it I may opt for your option. Meanwhile uber/taxify gat no business with what engine your car runs on be it i4, v6 or v8. FabulousAutos: |

Dovehorizon:And also bro just try and use synethic oil especially full synethic oil to keep the engine healthy. It does not have to be mobil 1 o but as long it's full synethic oil from a good brand... I preach so many times on the forum about synethic oil ... have had bad experience with mineral oil .....and have paid for my mistakes... On another note I will be bringing in mobil synethic oil soon am hoping May ending or so... so please be on the look out for it ... |

Some riders can be annoying especially ladies, that's how a lady want me to carry a 7.5 elepaq generator that can't enter my trunk on the seat. He said I should cancel if I know I can't carry it. Imagine a gen that can't even enter my 08 corrola trunk and you still want to that on the seat. I adviced her to get a bus or truck. Daveonoja: |
