The latest agreement is over the management of the idyllic Agulu Lake Hotel Resort, which Obiano inherited from his predecessor, former Governor Peter Obi. The 100 rooms tourism showpiece is nestled in the verdant green slopes beside the famous Agulu Lake in Aniocha Local Government Area of the state. this lovely edifice will be a great turn around in our tourist sites and industries, Anambra is home to some of the oldest archaeological treasures in Africa. The Igboukwu Bronze holds an endless fascination to scholars and historians, who have a keen interest in the contributions of Black Africa to modern civilisation. The Ogba Ukwu caves and waterfalls in Owerre Ezukala is one of the few outstanding UNESCO heritage sites on this side of Africa. The Ogbunike Cave, with its over a dozen entrances, remains an undiscovered wonder waiting for explorers. The mysteries of Obu Gad in Aguleri and the high ceremonies of the Palace of Eze Nri in the ancient town of Nri all point to an illustrious ancestry that have remained a fascinating theme for Igbo scholars across the world. Anambra Govt To Construct Golf Course At Golden Tulip Hotels Agulu
Governor Willie Obiano disclosed this recently when he inaugurated a 9-member Board of Directors for the Hotel at the Governor's Lodge, Amawbia.
According to Governor Obiano, the State Government targets to partner a private investor in the Golf course project which will situate at back of the hotel by the Agulu Lake alongside a play center.
He said government is also planning to take full advantage of the lake to create an attraction that will bring tourists from within and outside the country to the state, adding that the project holds great prospects for increased IGR for the state.

The Governor revealed that the 100 room capacity Hotel which was started and done ten percent by his predecessor, is presently at ninety-nine percent completion as his government has fully paid for the completion of the interior decoration.
Governor Obiano expressed optimism that with the inauguration of the Board whose members he noted were carefully selected, the hotel will in less than six months from now take-off, and start turning in profits.
One of the Board Members, Chief Patrick Chidolue, an expert in the hospitality business, said the present administration has through its strategic partnership with the Private Sector across various spheres, shown genuine commitment towards turning around the fortunes of the State.

He said this is because government cannot effectively manage businesses, adding that the Golf course project if realized will promote the status of the hotel as well as project it to limelight.
