Please is your phone Redmi Note 4 OR Redmi Note 4X. I heard that official updates on 4X gives some bugs.

I don't think 100% of the people who update would get crazy bugs either way. It is probably a small percentage and if the upgrade is not from Nougat to Oreo, it's not worth the risk to me.

download quickshortcut maker install and open, click incremental search and change to normal search. type test on d search box and click search. den u see settings click it den u see testing click it den click create. u see a new settings icon on ur home screen or whatever, click it n u will see dsame thing as wen u type in *#*#4636#*#*

Hi guys,
I'm looking to jump on the xiaomi train.

I'm supposed to get one for my pops tomorrow morning, I've seen quite a number of Redmi Note 5A Prime (which according to Gsmarena is the release for China/Malaysia).

Experts in the house, kindly advise if I'd experience any issues with the ROM or anything else for this device or please advice which other device can serve as a close substitute

My Ogas, I bring you all greetings. I am having a serious issue with my Redmi Note 4x that needs urgent attention and solution. I updated my phone to MIUI 9.5.4 nightly 3 days ago. After the update, the phone started misbehaving, switching off automatically whenever the message in the screenshot below comes up. The phone freezes and turns of when I press cancel or the report button. This evening it got even worse, right now, the home button and the menu button or minimise buttons are no longer working. I mean, they don't respond anymore. Please I need help. An advice or directives on what to do will be highly appreciated. I am just so frustrated at the moment. Please kindly help. Thanks everyone.. Attached is the picture of the error I have been getting since the update. These two buttons refusing to work is making the usage of this phone miserable...

Also, how can I remove the mi browser as my default browser?

So far so good. Still on a first full battery cycle, 4hrs SOT and still have 52% left. For once the auto brightness dey work, had this problem with my previous redmi phones.

The note 5A is a solid budget phone,

No issues on network or 4G,
But kindly take note,it doesnt suppprt Glo 4G lte dat uses band 28,

Asides that,you are on the right track with MIUI

Logon to your mi cloud via i•mi•com > Click Find Device > browse will locate the location of the device > Select the missing device > Select Lost mode to Lock the device if you don't want it useful to d "new user" > Enable Lost mode OR Wipe device, just to wipe your files off the phone to safeguard your files if you're hopeful it will be returned.

To change any of your default apps: Settings > Installed app > vertical ellipse at the top right > Default apps > Tweak as preferred.
