I don't understand all the hype and media frenzy. There is a deliberate misinterpretation, misunderstanding or misrepresentation of facts somewhere.

When I read the piece on the guy in which he was shown teaching MS word on a blackboard, he said, according to the report that, he noticed the children learnt better and concentrated more on the board than when using computers, which distracted them.

Now, I see him all smiles and people celebrating? What happens to the focus of his students now? Is he now just concerned about being the focus and has forgotten about the students?

I don't understand.

People never understand the meaning of selflessness and diligence in one's work.

This guy's story was similar to mine when I started work.
conditions weren't too good and targets was difficult to meet. I was quite selfless and diligent at my work while others made excuses and cutting corners.
when time came to replace our sacked manager, management called me directly and just gave me the job with no interview or test.

diligence, selflessness pays.... people are watching
