I just want to experience other roms apart from miui and they have all been successful except this.

I wipe the davik, cache and system then flash. I use twrp

this is also miui based ROM...but more advanced..best battery backup I've seen...I have almost the custom ROMs for 4X ...yet I keep coming back to this...
What version of TWRP are you on huh

So I guess it's safe to assume that only these 2 devices fall in the category then.

Redmi 5a, Redmi note 5a and Redmi note 5a prime. 3 devices.

NOPE. I think where I made mistake was told where I download the rom to wait for like 10mins before rebooting which i didn't

old version of TWRP...results to boot loop...but even still on can still go to recovery...flash ur stock ROM first..

Is your device Redmi 4x(santoni (5inch)) or the Note 4x (mido(5.5inch))

"MiUipro" is a MiUi based Custom ROM
Then
"Repacked MiUipro" is a MiUipro based Custom ROM

2 different ROMs

(The guy repacking it plus tweaks and apps he includes makes it better than MiUipro ROM)
Although he only repacks for Redmi 4x(5inch Device (santoni) ) users coz that's the device he uses..
Then the forum link I dropped for you ,since u asked thinking we were on same device..that link is for the last build or "Repacked MiUipro" he did before he stopped repacking....
So if u didn't download from the link I gave u...maybe there is another mist from the MiUipro site u got the ROM...

I wish Xiaomi would make a Redmi Note 5X with 5.65" screen with same specs but maybe 3750 battery.

I think the there's a significant market for the Redmi 5 compact size of phones but specs is holding people back.
