In an interview with Ben TV, Shehu said the current administration has invested in people and also infrastructure.

“Everyone complaining of hunger should go and work.

And you know that this is the only government that has introduced social investment schemes, we pay out now for the poorest of the poor,

the least they will get is N5, 000 and a lot of these jobs that are been created are from loans with little or no interest from the central bank, Bank of industry, Banks of Agriculture, Development Bank and the rest,” he said

“So, there is a lot going for people who really want to go out there to work especially in agriculture.”
Shehu said since President Muhammadu Buhari took office in 2015, he has devoted not less than 30% of the country’s annual appropriation to infrastructure.

The spokesman said the foundation for the country’s growth cannot be laid without proper infrastructure in place.
“The records are there for everyone to see that no government, no past administration in Nigeria has invested as much as we have done or let me say like we are currently doing in infrastructure development,” he said.

“From day one when he took power, the president gave a target of not less than 30% of annual appropriation devoted to infrastructure development. Without infrastructure, we can not lay the foundation for growth.

When this administration came to power, between 95 and 96% of public expenditure was going into overhead cost leaving only about 5 or 6% for infrastructure.
The allocation of 30% under this administration has led to tremendous improvement in the provision of infrastructure so far in the country.

Now there is a lot of work going on, building new rail lines and the rehabilitation of the old rail system networks, roads are been done all across the country, you only need to drive around to see for yourself.”

Buhari knows he has useful idiots, like buhariguy, madridguy, yarimo, nairalanddist, dvee2 and yazach, who will always throw their consciences to the dogs and defend anything that he says. They will even defend Buhari if the latter rapes their moms; they will blame their moms for enticing Buhari.

What arrogance and harshness!

Maybe if Buhari's economic policies and currency manipulation didn't cause the loss of millions of jobs and many private sector investors to flee the country, there would be jobs for these people??

Propaganda, lies, theft and nepotism driven government.

Nigerians want 21st century job in a 17th century country.

They engage in sexual gratification, popping tens of millions of children every years. Forgetting they have no economy nor production facilities nor factories to absorb these almajiri hopeless children as they get older in both north and south of the country.

They expect prayers and God to do the miracle, to provide the magic solution to what is a severe problem.

Frustration upon frustration, and all government and political officials have become thieves.

Intractable problems.

Honestly these Buhari guys are really insulting Nigerians. From my experience, an average Nigerian is a very hard working person. But for this Mumu to come out and be asking people to go and work when the work is not there is indeed a show of shame to them.

Well I even thought they are not aware that people are truly hungry. So they know evidently can't do anything about it because they are clueless people with dead brain cells.

In all the past administrations our cries has been after infrastructural developments and the rest. But since Buhari came. We hv totally 4got about roads, light, housing etc. Our cry now na only food we want yet the dullard is as confused Yarimo's slowpoke daughter and as useless as NgeneUkwenu' Shit.

Well said.

Believe me this has taken too long to be said.

Regardless of how much blame the older generation deserve, and I totally agree they are the architects of the failure of the Nigerian economy, I still believe the builders, the Nigerian youth are not intellectually and physically channelling their energy in the right direction.

The average Nigerian youth complains and wails yet won't get off his lazy bum to exploit the various opportunities before him.

Ordinary lemon grass, has economic importance and buyers, not to talk about the sundry other natural vegetation that abound within the Nigerian space.

You would instead get people who studied plant and animal science looking for banking and insurance jobs. Perhaps it is the allure of the suit and tie but surely the youth have their own blame.

Sometimes when I look at this APC led federal government, I wonder the kind of demon infested beings they are.
Shegu your government came into power, with its body odour and terrible economic policies led the nation to recession which caused over six million job losses with its resultant effect in the economy, causing a lot of families to start living in abject poverty and hunger, now you have the temerity to tell them to go and work if they are hungry?
Well you people are not to be blamed, I blame those that foisted this calamity of a government on hard working Nigerians, to add salt to injury, some people are still clamouring for another four years of this hard labour on innocent Nigerians.

Shegu on the issue of herdsmen, we saw the zeal, commitment, passion and speed which operations python dance and crocodile smile where introduced and executed, but in the case of herdsmen, the military seems to have gone missing in action. Just incase Shegu has forgotten, may I remind him that it is only the President that has absolute control of our security outfit, The grazing laws introduced is being challenged by miyetti Allah with impunity in Benue state.

Honestly speaking Nigerians will see the real APC if they win second term. They are applying little restrictions because they want to win 2019, if they eventually wins, what we are passing through now will be child's play

With the wealth of ideas coming from so many thoughtful minds, one can't believe with the dynamism of those revolutionary ideas which can change someone's static state is almost unrealistic. One needs to realized making progress in life is deliberate. You must learn how to click the right button and understand how process works.
You must have a consciousness that time is mutually dependent to the process. To make a meaningful progress you most consolidated those hypothesis with time and process as it undergoes its metamorphosis.
You must come to realization that what is OK by you may not be OK by many. This implies that applying your time and process may not be suitable for many.
Therefore by the fundamental law of equivalence relation the correlation is negative which is directly proportional to failure.

I'm determined not to work for government. Lower your standards and make a leaving for your self.
I dumped my Msc certificate 2years ago To start from scratch, now I have seven workers.
My friends its not luck is hard work and determination.
I pray you will have the faith to conquer your fears

That is the brutal truth. Most of the people complaining of hunger don't have any visible skill or vocation to sell. How can you earn decently if you don't bring anything to the table?
