Olga Allegra, Wife to one of Nigeria's footballer Mikel Obi posted on her instagram account a picture of Jesus on the cross with gift bags on His two hands and wrote: "Happy Easter my dear Easter bunnies. And let's remember that all the chocolate eggs, presents and bunnies is not what it's all about."

A Nigerian man @porsche.bill quickly commented, "Even her husband @mikel_john_obi never liked the post. Let me quickly say this please. Please we should respect Jesus Christ and the crucifixion. He was bruised because of us and he arose the 3rd day. Christ is not man. He's a spiritual being. Please we should respect his majesty @olga_allegra thanks. Regards to my cute twins. Happy Easter once again.

Olga replied, "@porsche.bill yep, next time I'll tell him to pause the match and like my posts. Happy Easter and learn to understand the underlying message.

That's not even Jesus, just a cartoon of a Spanish guy who acted the character in a movie and our naija guy is foaming in the mouth.

I don't know why guys like that just keep embarrassing the rest of us Nigerians. The lady must really have a not too good opinion about Nigerians. She will definitely think herself lucky to get herself a man like Mikel who is not as mumu as the Porsche guy donning his 3years old shirt.

Nigerians be forming more catholic than the Pope since 100BC. Smh

That is just an artistic expression. You guys should learn to understand the underlying message in arts. The picture is simply saying that Jesus death is the reason we celebrate and buy gifts during easter, it could also be interpreted to mean that Jesus' easter gift to us was the blood he shed for us on the cross. It's art, it's meant to express the artiste's feeling or thinking in a pictorial form. Stop being religious fanatics and try to understand things before criticizing them

I'm not a religious fanatic OK. I'm just saying it the way it is.

This artistic expression or whatever you call it would have been apt if it were Christmas.

The problem is leaving Jesus on that Cross. He is not on the cross, he is risen as he said; the Lord of glory. And his gifts are eternal; far too glorious, excellent and unfathomable to fit into a hamper.
