I have been following this thread silently sirs.
Please, few days ago I met a travel agency to start processing my visa...

I am 24, the agency said that UAE only grants visa to migrants from 25-30 years.

Am just a bit demotivated right now, for I have been saving up since I finished school with intention of seeking green pasture over there. And UAE is the country my mind accepts for now.

Please what's your take on this....

Its not true... 21 sef dey get visa..

The processing of your employment visa has to do with your company's PRO and not UAE immigration.

Basically if you are located in Nigeria and your visa contact (or agent) is located in Dubai, the cost of a 2WEEKS STAY (holiday/visiting) visa is $150.

This has been the cost for over a decade now.

ONE MONTH visa and THREE MONTH visa cost more and are usually over inflated by agents.

The cost of ONE MONTH visiting visa ranges from $250 to $350

That cost of a THREE MONTH visiting visa ranges from $500 to $750.

Note that all these cost/prices are agent pegged. The government of Dubai charges far less than this amounts.

Even the SPONSORING COMPANIES (a name for the original agency between your street agent and the country's immigration) charge far less than the above started.

But inevitably you will always need an agent unless you some how got a link to a SPONSORING COMPANY.

The actual charge for a 2weeks visiting visa by the Dubai immigration is less than a hundred dollars.

On one occasion I got a 1month visiting visa for $105 through a Pakistani agent I meet on a previous visit.

I hope my (elaborated) answers help.

Vacancy for those kind of job you refer to mostly exist on the high end employment ladder.

The UAE is a technologically advance nation, they have gone far past the tech stage Nigeria is presently at.

As such your usual degree certificate (from your regular Nigerian school) is nearly practically useless as far as the mention categories of vacancy are concern.

Am sure you are aware Dubai itself is a smart city.

If you are onto jobs in IT, Engineering, Banking & Finance, Oil & Gas, Offshore stuffs etc, then be sure you are properly educationally certified in those field and possibly, with at least few years of working experience from recognised Nigerian institutions.

Question now is, if you do meet the requirements in the above paragraph, would you really be thinking of Dubai

You would probably (already) be gainfully employed.

If you are thinking Dubai (as as a West African immigrant), then be thinking MIDDLE & LOW level jobs. Forget the HIGH END juice.

My dear, there is no dress code here in Dubai. Just dress as you want to be addressed. You only need to dress nicely if you want to enter any govt offices.

No. You don't have to. You only need to get to the airport and fly as long as you have a return ticket.

Please Note: If you have been told to get Police Character report for UAE Visa processes, please dont bother. It is no longer needed.
...source UAE Visa Center Abuja

That said, you can still go ahead to legalize or authenticate your educational and other related documents at the embassy.

You are welcome

No, you don't need to go to Abuja for a 2Weeks visiting visa, neither do you need any PCC.

just link up with any regular Nigerian visa Agent based in Dubai and you can have your visa within 72 hours or there about.

One thing though, a lot of Nigerian visa Agents are weary of visitors who may abscond after the expiration of the 14days permit. If you don't strike them like a genuine visitor (tourist), they may reject your patronage.

Reason for this caution is that every visitor (duration of stay) is accounted for in the immigration computing system, so if its not reflected on the computer that you have EXITED the country then the SPONSORING COMPANY and/or VISA AGENT is made to pay a huge penalty (fine).

So most Nigerian agents would rather deal with genuine visitors like market women and spare part guys than a youngster considered a potential "flight risk".

Once again, no need for Abuja.

lol....Better safe than sorry. The ones we should be glad for are the ones that came in to the UAE without PCC in the first place and mulling at the new expenses to incur a PCC.

I have an Indian friend that lost a job offer of 4,500 because of PCC. Only to get back from India last week with his PCC...Only to hear that Indians are now on the exemption list. Chai.

Poor dude is on the street looking for new job. For someone like him....he will have done anything for this news to just be one week ealier than this.
