A drama is ongoing on Bamgbose Street, Lagos Island, as a result of the disagreement between two families who own a building on the street.

According to reports, there was an initial agreement to jointly renovate the house, but the two parties later fell out, and a faction is going ahead to renovate their own half, leaving the other half dangerously dilapidated.

it's very common right here in Yoruba land where baba will share a house of 5 rooms among his 5 children, each child to one room.

To me it's a call for disagreement and a very dilapidated house. The most peaceful way is to let the first son take the property. It will make the others hustle.

What if the other dilapidated building collapse, it will definitely affect the other side. Renovating just 1 side of the building make no sense to me.

To me it's a call for disagreement and a very dilapidated house. The most peaceful way is to let the first son take the property. It will make the others hustle.

Letting the first son take the building will even harbor more hatred within the family. So other siblings deserves to hustle while only the first son takes everything. That's unfair.

What's wrong with selling the building and splitting the cash equally among all sibling. If the first son wants to keep the whole building, he can aswell bring the monetary value of the building for others to share while he keeps it.
