Emir Akanbi of Iwo formerly referred to as the Oba of Iwo has appointed Sheikh Yahquub Abdul-Baaqi Mohammed a Hausa from Zamfara state as his Prime Minister. The title Waziri is the Awusa pronunciation of the Sultanate title Vizier and it is the post held by the most senior minister in an Islamic State. Emir Akanbi has declared Iwo as an Emirate and so has chosen the eminent Sheikh Yahquub Abdul-Baaqi Mohammed to advise him further on how to govern and administer Sharia law in his emirate. Not much is known about Sheikh Yahquub Abdul-Baaqi Mohammed and how he became aquainted with Oba Akanbi, but feelers from Iwo Emirate say that the Sheikh must have be-witched the Oba into appointing him and turning the Kingdom of Iwo to an emirate. 4 Likes 3 Shares
