I relocated to Enugu from Lagos because of a Job, two months ago. And I have alot to say about the state so far. I agree with the OP concerning the red earth and dusty nature of the state. But, he forgot to mention that it's a natural phenomenon that the state can't run away from.

On the issue of development, I will grade them upcoming with no comparison or whatsoever with any other state. Their roads are durable unlike the china roads in some states like Imo State. The people are friendly and they have good foods to offer. Less I forget, there is little or no congested traffic and their traffic lights are all functioning.

In general it's a peaceful state, calm and loving. If not for the water issue they have, I wouldn't mind staying forever here. There was a cinema but they left because of poor management, hopefully a new one will come in place soonest.

I am a leasing agent in the mall where they have Games and ShopRite... You can contact if you need available space in the mall for business activities.

Best regards!

My dear, not even the great Abuja can compare to South African cities. Our cities are glorified villages. It’s sad and reflects the lack of progress made in the country.

Still waiting for centenary city...

Bia, take yah time, o! shocked Why are you trying to give some people high blood pressure over Ibadan? Don't you know that if the brown roofs in Ibadan disappear, it will affect the mental stability of such individuals, which in turn could cause them to suffer a stroke? Do you know how much they paid to get enough data, in order to acquire pictures of those brown roofs?

Well, Well, Well, Enugu has been one place I've been wanting to visit for so long after the hype occasioned by sheer bigotry and sentiments by the Igbos. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement, I was raged filled at how people could celebrate mediocrity this far in the 21st century. Enugu was just an average city filled with annoying red earth and dusts all over. What's so special? nothing. Independence layout, new haven, trans ekulu, G.r.a, ziks avenue, okpara avenue, ogui road, emene, presidential road, all this places just seemed like what it's like in owerri, which I think the area around concord beats this places by far. Gosh, I couldn't wait to return back to Lagos. Almost every taxi is for hire, buses everywhere including 18th century lorries. Omo the only thing I enjoyed about the town is their shoprite, everything else was just annoying. how can a whole tribe be wrong? anybody that ever says Enugu is more developed than Ibadan or Port Harcourt is hereby declared a fool. Damn it!.
You are a bittered soul. In 2014 Enugu became one of the 35 global cities that were named in Top 100 most resilient cities in the world. Funny enough it made that list out 650 global cities that applied and was named the same year London, Barcelona, Paris, Athens, Tokyo, e.t.c made the list. By being so named, the Enugu now acts as a model to every city seeking their own resilience.

Enugu is far better than your Lagos in neatness and unique lifestyle.

Op, you must be a newcomer. I have been beating it into the ears of everyone that Enugu is overrated. The worst is the level of poverty there which made Genesis cinemas to close operations there and are in the process of relocating to Anambra state. When you have three-quarters of wawa people living in Anambra state and more keep trooping into Anambra on a daily basis for survival, that should give you an idea of the dire economic situation in enugu.

Enugu used to be Anambra state. Most houses in Enugu are owned by Anambra people. Many Enugu people live and work in current Anambra state. The two states share blood lines, a common ancestry. Enugu state was named Wawa state by our elders at the point of creation. We agreed to change it to Enugu at the dying minutes before announcement. Wawa is a praise word for Enugu people.

Over 95% of Enugu are slums and laid-back ghettos but they will only show you pictures of independence layout and new haven which make up just 2% of Enugu setup to cater basically for rich politicians. Go into Enugu town where the real everyday people live and you will shed tears at what you see. I am from Anambra, we share border with the wawas, so I know this much.

Stop lying to yourself. Anambra and Enugu have nothing in common. We are worlds apart. Only like 0.01% of Anambra indigenes live in Enugu but 50% of total wawa population live in Anambra in order to survive and tap from the grace of Anambra supremacy. Even the few Anambra people living in Enugu will start relocating back as soon as our own international airport is finished.

About five more skeletons were said to have been discovered at the site of the church building where three bodies of victims of suspected ritual murder were exhumed on Tuesday, before a shocked community.

With the full identification of the victims of the alleged ritual murder buried at the church building site in Ugwuaji, a suburb of Enugu metropolis in the Enugu State capital, members of The Tricycle Riders’ Association (TTRA), otherwise known as “Keke Riders,” called for the full weight of the law to be met on the perpetrators
