Major things that Yorubas hate about igbos on Nairaland 1) Busting their years of media propaganda and phantom achievements. 2) Claiming ownership of Lagos and reminding them that it was built by all Nigerians with the help of federal government. 3) Seeking for Biafra and potentially leaving them in Nigeria. This is a major one and their reaction makes them look schizophrenic. 4) Competition in all spheres of life and winning. Whenever neutral development statistics are released, the east tends to do better. From education to crime to nutrition etc. 5) Posting pictures of Yoruba cities. |

horsepower101:First, all what you called properganda are fact. Secondly, we never knew that Lagos Mather can pain you people so much. But we enjoy it. If you like, say Lagos belongs to bini today, no man's land tomorrow, or say, it belongs to Arab next tomorrow, it doesn't change the fact that God has given us Lagos and others as ancestral land. You can only wail. Nothing more. Thirdly, whether you seek biafra or not, no one cares, I have never seen where an igbo man decided to go back home, in biafra and Yorubas move to block road in Ore so that he won't go. All we hear on niaraland is Yoruba should free us as if Yoruba use chain to tie you down or your destiny is in Yoruba's hand. Fourthly, we have challenged you many a time here since you people have been screaming you have the highest scholar, highest professors, first professors in Nigeria to let us start naming the scholars we both have as well as professors and first professors in all disciplines, all you do is chicken out. You get jealous cos Wole is above Achebe which we understand it is normal. In entertainment, you people brag about being the best in entertainment, then we asked you people to name one igbo dead or alive that has ever been nominated for Grammy awards and we will name 4 Yorubas that have won the award, as usual, you keep mute. Who wouldn't praise himself before. Lastly, you post Yoruba cities and cover your own cities just as you cover your crimes. Only those who have not gone to east will be deceived by your lies. Yorubas keep exposing you hence the hatred. On this thread, your lies have been busted one more time. Conclusion, the fact is that you hate yorubas cos they never allowed you have your ways, we all know that anyone who opposes you automatically becomes your enemy while you play your victim card. Shalom. |

I understand the op's point of view because i was just like him at a time,i was very eager to go explore the east exp enugu state and God used nysc to answer my prayer as regards visiting the much talked about enugu state. Now i can say the following about the state. 1: Enugu was a regional federal government capital for the east hence the hype by igbos? 2: unlike enugu, Lagos was national federal capital since 1914 hence the high level of development in Lagos 3: Only the three capitals: enugu east, enugu north and enugu east is developed so if you're not in the e capital then you're in a town 4: Aside the capital and the township other areas are very rural (remote village) so rural you can see a village inside a village in enugu 5: 70 percent of enugu is still rural/developing. |

Whois:1. Enugu was a regional capital of the East of Nigeria. Nothing concerned it with the Federal government. 2. Of course the bulk of Federal government infrastructure should be in Lagos. Its the capital city and other cities should not try to compete with it. Its an unfair comparison. 3. Sorry, Enugu east, Enugu north and south are the only local governments in Enugu capital. All the other towns are parts of the state, rural local government as found in all other states. 4. Bro, did they not tell you there is a difference between Enugu as a state and Enugu as a state capital? 5. 70% of Enugu state is not in the capital city. The rural areas are where we have our farms, natural resources and villages. Please note one thing, Enugu is a state, as well as a state capital. |

lacasera14:See this illiterate Afonja buffoon. The more your Savage ass use your ass to type, the more you exposed your dumbass didn't leave your village oshogbo IDP camp to go anywhere. So Enugu does not have a flyover? Obviously, the Enugu in the skulls of the people's heads you mined does not, because the Enugu I've been to many times DOES. And did this fool really just equate traffic as development? Are you freaking serious or are you high as a kite? Then again, I'm not shocked. You come from savages that made a public holiday because of a damn bus terminal. A freaking savages posting golf courses as form of development so I'm so not shocked you lots logic of development is the some negroid typical backwardness mentality. No wonder that piece of shit slight improvement few years ago went to complete shit the second that dullard gave the developmental aspect of this shithole to your brethren. No fucking wonder. Instead of worrying about Enugu and dreaming about going to Enugu and telling us long stories of your fantasy, go and deal with your biggest slum in Africa com City. |

spyder880:Much respect boss, do you agree with me that the bolded is what most people have failed to understand about Enugu state. I'm aware abt ur point 3,4 n 5 n I agree Its unfair to compare lagos with other states in Nigeria. (Even current fct/Abuja can't be compared to lagos cus Abuja hasn't been fed capital for up-to the number of years Lagos was capital before Abuja became the capital). Are you getting me? |
Ode banks financial transactions are use to measure economy activities of states, see how Ebonyi state humbled your backward state Osun and Ekiti
So, when your ipob economic migrant brothers and sisters in Lagos or elsewhere in the SW take their earnings to deposit in their village banks, it means economic activities in your poor ipob village with zero economic activities, a high unemployment rate, measly and in fact the lowest IGR and the poorest budgets in Nigeria? ![]() Is it even possible to have huge economic activities, huge bank deposits and still be grossly poor, still besieged with the lowest IGR and guguru and ekpa salary only budgets that cannot build any sensible or quality projects beyond borehole and rent keke ambulance.? You village argument no dey get sense sef.. ![]() BTW, talking about enugu village, that village is poor no be small. Enugu budget is the 3rd lowest in Nigeria and in fact, Enugu's budget and Ekiti state budgets are exactly the same N98 billion. Enugu is practically the poorest SE state. ![]()

Im just hearing this that bank transactions are used to measure economy activities (makes sense duh)
Ode banks financial transactions are use to measure economy activities of states, see how Ebonyi state humbled your backward state Osun and Ekiti
but Bank transactions alone can't show the real state of an economy activities na, what of states that have just few banks around. for example i know there's only one gtbank in osun n only one gtbank in enugu n they're other banks with just one branch or none present that i didn't notice. Again there are no banks In the whole of some local government. In enugu, example of lga with no bank is Aninri lga so how do they calculate economy activities with these examples? |

deomelo:Lagos and the six other states control about 90 per cent of the total cash transactions in the country, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has said. The other states are Rivers, Anambra, Abia, Kano, Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This, according to the CBN Deputy Governor (Operations), Mr. Tunde Lemo http://thenationonlineng.net/seven-states-control-90-of-cash-transactions-says-cbn/ https://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/05/lagos-6-other-states-control-90-of-cash-transactions-in-nigeria-cbn/ https://nairametrics.com/confirmed-7-nigerian-states-control-90-of-cash-transactions-in-nigeria-see-list/ |

Guys pls Anambra n enugu are two different states now so why all this picture from Anambra state, once you cross oji river you don enter Anambra be that na. Back to the topic From my experience in south west (osun) rural areas are not very remote unlike the rural areas we have in south east. South east (Enugu, Anambra) is cool provided you're not in a rural area. I guess that's what the op is trying to tell us. ![]() |

Whois:We've tried to confine the argument to just Enugu, but as usual, they gyrated to Osun, Ekiti, Ibadan and so on. I responded with the ugly and mediocre rubbish from anambra because that joker, as usual, bombarded the thread with his usual mediocrity rubbish from anambra. This is what they do when they cannot defend their absurdities. |

Whois:The thing is, they don't think there are not so good or poor areas in any of their states, especially how they enjoy badmouthing and putting other people down. They are so off base and far far removed from the sad realities in their backward communities. |
