I understand the op's point of view because i was just like him at a time,i was very eager to go explore the east exp enugu state and God used nysc to answer my prayer as regards visiting the much talked about enugu state. Now i can say the following about the state.

1: Enugu was a regional federal government capital for the east hence the hype by igbos?
2: unlike enugu, Lagos was national federal capital since 1914 hence the high level of development in Lagos
3: Only the three capitals: enugu east, enugu north and enugu east is developed so if you're not in the e capital then you're in a town
4: Aside the capital and the township other areas are very rural (remote village) so rural you can see a village inside a village in enugu
5: 70 percent of enugu is still rural/developing.

Independence layout, new haven, trans ekulu, G.r.a, ziks avenue, okpara avenue, ogui road, emene, presidential road, all this places just seemed like what it's like in owerri, which I think the area around concord beats this places by far. Gosh, I couldn't wait to return back to Lagos. Almost every taxi is for hire, buses everywhere including 18th century lorries. Omo the only thing I enjoyed about the town is their shoprite, everything else was just annoying. how can a whole tribe be wrong? anybody that ever says Enugu is more developed than Ibadan or Port Harcourt is hereby declared a fool. Damn it!.

From my experience in south west (osun) rural areas are not very remote unlike the rural areas we have in south east. South east (Enugu, Anambra) is cool provided you're not in a rural area. I guess that's what the op is trying to tell us. undecided

We've tried to confine the argument to just Enugu, but as usual, they gyrated to Osun, Ekiti, Ibadan and so on.

I responded with the ugly and mediocre rubbish from anambra because that joker, as usual, bombarded the thread with his usual mediocrity rubbish from anambra.
