The Vice Chancellor of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, has said the institution may involve the police to verify a telephone conversation involving Prof. Richard Akindele and the student of the institution.

Professor Akindele was said to have asked a female student for sex in order to help her pass her exams.

The VC speaking to journalists in Osogbo on Sunday said the university might involve the police to get to the root of the matter if the investigation committee runs into a hitch.

He said, “We have a committee that is investigating the matter now and we gave them one week to submit their report. If we run into any hitch, we can use all the resources available to get to where we are going. But once things are running smoothly, we may not need to involve the police.

“But we must first identify those involved and where they are; if we have any problem doing that, then that is when the university will invite the police.

“The committee’s one week will elapse by Wednesday. We will brief you about it. I need to state that we have excellent relationship with the police, the DSS and others.”

They can go the extra mile to fail some of their potential preys, just to request for sex from them in exchange for marks. Just look at his Dick head and prickface. A professor indeed.

This ones are shameless, on a normal day he is meant to resign, but I am sure he is pulling strings to hold on to his job, cause he isn't the only one doing it, there would be other lectures doing the same thing, at the end they might not even fire him..!!

The said harrassed lady has refused to show up for questioning and this has made it a herculean task for the OAU admins to get to the root of the matter. If she was unwilling to see to the end of it, why then did she release the audio.

My guess is that the lecturer has come to terms with the girl and has paid her to keep her mouth shut, and probably, just probably, they might actually be fvcking for real now.

This case might be swept under the carpet the way it's going.

In this country, we know lecturers are like that. Let's not pretend as if it hasn't been happening for decades. Many lecturers are shameless abusers and once they sight a pretty female student, sex is what comes to their minds.

Many have fallen victim, I salute the girl for her courage despite the lawlessness in our society. Their generation is such a bad example, yet they expect the younger ones to be perfect.

My take is that this should be thoroughly investigated and if found guilty he should be punished. On the other hand if the people involved are not coming out to proof their case they should also be arrested and punished for lying against a lecturer
