Must you play politics with every situation. You are the governor, you need to look for solution on how to reduce the soot. You can't be collecting allocations and security votes and you still want to rely on federal government to do everything for you.

Wike is right! The FG through the military bodies as the army, navi and nsdc are burning illegal refineries and boats that carry crude oil. This causes air pollution in Rivers state as well as the oil spilage into the sea that affects the livelihood of those living in such communities.

The buhari led Federal government is indeed a culprit to reducing the lives of rivers people as they gave the military bodies such orders. There are videos on YouTube that show the military shooting at boats and burning illegal refineries.

Burning these refineries causes the black smoke to go into the air creating the sooth then shooting at boats from choppers cause the oil to spill into the water ways as well as black smoke in the air from the explosion and destruction.

The rivers state government must hereby through it's state assembly make destroying of illegal bunkery an offence and that off the boats as well.

The federal government should convert the illegal refineries to Modula refineries and the boats sized then the crude be handed over to nnpc.

It's a very big shame that a legal practitioner and a Governor could not properly articulate the long term impact of this environmental pollution on the people's health instead of making a senseless political statement.

This soot cannot kill anybody overnight for any useless APC's advantage in 2019, rather the health implications of this will linger in people's lungs and blood streams for decades to come, killing them gradually if nothing is done to stop it now.

It will take every seriousness to tackle this issue,otherwise everybody will wave it off as another political game.

With us reasoning Nigeria can never develop, instead of finding solution as the state governor, he's playing politics and blame game.
