A Nigerian Journalist, Saleh Shehu Ashaka took to his social media page to beg Nigerians to stop buying airtime from banks.

What about convenience, buying through banks or VTU offers me convenience cos I don't need to hit the road every time I want my phone recharged.

Agreed it's convenient but i noticed MTN does not gimme bonus if I load from my bank acc Shey na only me?

Recharge card sellers are the ones who should upgrade. I won't come and be stressing myself because i want to buy recharge card. The last time i bought recharge card physically was about 8 months ago.

Give us genuine reason to stop buying from them

Dumb guy! How can you be discouraging innovation, progress and convenience? In the developed nations, many companies have had to go out of business as a result of new innovative companies.

Where's Kodak and Agfa today when we can all use our cell phones to take pix?

He should have also taken a danfo bus to encourage the drivers and conductors to keep them in business instead of driving a personal vehicle.

Na true sha but the one in my area takes 5 minutes to locate her recharge card bag, another 2 minutes to search for airtel 1k

I'm guilty of this. And the guy I normally buy credits from raised this issue with me. But talking of convenience , I just decided to collect his number. He sends me on request and we reconcile when we meet, usually on my way to work.

The whole system for hawkers, probably requires upgrading.......

I buy my data or call card either from clubkonnet website or vendors. and I get like 10% discount but bank, will not only collect their full money but also charge u for SMS alert. Thieves.
