Frankrobbn1:

Bieber78,

If I understand your question clearly, you said your undergraduate tuition was only specified on your LOA, while room and board wasn't indicated, but you filled just your tuition and left room and board and others blank, while funds available to you, you indicated just 10KCAD.

Most schools don't indicate funds for room and board. But as stated by CIC, applicants must show funds for tuition and living expenses of 10,000CAD for their first year of studies in Canada and must certify that funds will be made available for the subsequent years.

In your case now, you're expected to fill TUITION + ROOM AND BOARD + OTHERS = FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR STAY.
Leaving room and board + others doesn't make sense and Indicating just 10KCAD as funds availability for your first year is wrongly filled, Its safe to show funds in excess than below the range of your expenses in Canada. Your sponsor Bank statement will suffice and I hope the visa officer will overlook this.

All the best!

Lol I was refused but not on insufficient funds I was refused on

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay based on travel history ( I have a virgin passport though)

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay based on your family ties in Canada and your country of residence

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay based on your purpose of your visit ( I did not include SOP)

Am 19 and am being sponsored by my parents I really don't know what is wrong with the Visa officers I have 5 siblings in Nigeria

Pls can anyone help me to tackle this for me I reapplying. My uni resumes by sept thanks

Yes ordered for my Gcms notes and it looks like they are in communication with the US departments of homeland security combing through my immigration file of two decades in the United States to see my immigration history there and whether I have run ins with the law. I guess they will make decision when that is done. I dont remember the student’s moniker anymore. But he was here and shared his testimony sometime back. You cannot pay for express, every case is acted upon based on its own alacrity. You do t get to determine how long your case takes. That moniker can’t help you, you need to relax.

Please gurus in the house I need help on how to tackle this @pics attached.
This is my second refusal. The first was based on recent lump sum in my uncle's account who I used as Co sponsor and the second reason was based on my main sponsor NDDC leaving scholars stranded abroad.
NDDC has paid my full tuition(23,716cad) and has deposited 16,284cad as my upkeep.

In this second application I submitted school fees reciept, evidence of money being deposited in my Canadian account and I also added my Nigerian SOA with a closing balance approximately 12kcad.
I am geological sciences graduate and I hold an offer from memorial university to study oil and gas engineering.
I have been working as an assistant geophysicist after I finished my NYSC.

I seriously need help from the house to decipher what the VO was really looking for and I will love to address all that again in my SOP,

~~Documents Submitted~~
√Normal CIC documents
√Conditional Acceptance letter with funding information (Full funding covering tuition and living expenses)
√Letter of explanation (Financial) pointing out that I have a full scholarship and my paternal uncle will sponsor my airfare costs and miscellaneous expenses
√Above-mentioned uncle's bank statement
√Letter of sponsorship from uncle
√Undergraduate transcripts
√Undergraduate degree certificate
√WASSCE certificate
√National Service appointment letter
√My pay slips
√CV
√My birth certificate
√Letter of Explanation, elucidating on why my proposed course in Civil Engineering is in fact related to my undergrad degree in Geological Engineering. I also addressed the conditions on my acceptance letter, then a final paragraph dedicated to explaining why I want to study in Canada and not Ghana.

NOTE: Even though I submitted my uncle's sponsorship letter and bank statements, I did not list him as sponsor in the application form since he was basically only covering my flight expenses. I heeded @jnyuwa02's advice to unequivocally write "Full Scholarship".

I bless the stars for making me discover this forum. Ghanaians are a minority on nairaland, but all your supports make me feel like I'm part of the family.

God Bless you all.
It shall end in praises for all TRV hopefuls.

Everyone, please I need your advice on this. I'm heading to victoria, bc. Flights to victoria, British Columbia from here are very expensive so I plan to go to Montreal first. Do you think the officers at the airport will begin to wonder why I went that far away from Victoria first? Are they any other cheap ways I can go that any of you know of?
I will be extremely grateful for all contributions. Thank you so much!!!!
