We are doing fine. I've done scan thrice and they weren't sure of the gender. So I'm still left in the dark.
Haven't bought anything yet. Waiting to confirm gender.

my Uyo sisters I see you all. I'm from Uyo, born and brought up in Uyo. marriage too me to Port Harcourt but I'm always in Uyo for every holiday. Uyo indeed is a small place.i used teaching hospital for my two boys. firstson was in 2015 the state of teaching hospital was not as bad as what I experienced Dec 2017 when I had my second son.the only problem with them is the attitude of workers not doctors, the cleaning system and the long distance one has to walk in other to make payment or buy something. but in all I like their professionalism when it comes to their doctors. premier is my HMO hospital.they are okay but I still prefer teaching hospital in terms of equipment. I have been in theaters of both outfit. teaching hospital still tops chat.i have used another hospital for my scan which is new by name fullcare hospital at ekpanya street opposite holy ghost ambassador's church. they seem to bed cool. I think that is the hospital you people are talking about.there is a joint at Clement using road in Abak road housing off abak road by Apico investment house.the Clement using road is the street beside St Patricks primary school which is opposite the only Catholic Church at Abak road. their pepper rice Na die... discovery park in front of the old stadium at udo Umana street where the Akpan Andem market is is another good sport. there is another joint known for it's Fisher man soup at ewer housing estate. the road you have road safety office if you enter from nwaniba road it is adjacent one ministry before Domingo hospital if you enter from sun center to Ben Udom's it is before road safety. the joint doesn't have name nor sign post. hope you all will manage this few joint for now... thank you

lol.. Hair donation loading!!! Thanks sis...Oga has already googled first trimester and told me about pregnacare. I am getting that tomorrow morning. Though it doesn't contain calcium, would i need to take that separately?

There re different views about taking calcium in the first trimester. I know that the basic is that folic acid and maybe that red round tablet that doctors usually write as part of the prescription. That's what my doctor wrote sha. But I'm only taking pregnacare original with folic acid.

I will stop taking the extra folic acid after 3 months and add calcium.
Other sabi mamas will choke mouth for the matter. But you are good with the pregnacare for now.

You shouldn't lose weight in pregnancy. If you feel you are gaining too much, weight, then watch your diet and control the weight gain henceforth. Doesn't mean you should starve. Just don't overeat.
And as other mamas have said, lipton should be avoided for now.

Abi na happy and healthy bumping (don't laugh pls). I remember sneaking into this thread last year, the slangs and abbreviations make d thing be like say na spanish una dey speak here .. .lolz.. Yes, I take pregnacare with extra folic acid. The good thing is that since I'm pregnant, the body will take the one it needs and get rid of the excess.
I am taking it because the doctors were like it doesn't contain enough folic acid. So, instead of stopping it, I started taking extra tablet along with my pregnacare.

I also did Google about it and found that many women did take it with Pregnacare especially for the first 3 months.

But the funny thing here is that we are all trying to act smarter than the oyibos.

I remember when my sister was pregnant with her twins in 2008, all she took was Pregnacare alone all through her pregnancy and her babies turned out great.
