I remember 2010 when i went to visit my aunt at her husband village in Edo state very close to Obiaruku in delta state. We started hearing news of women being raped in their farms and their husbands being killed. The news was coming from other villages and the villagers kept mute thinking the police would arrest the culprits. Well sadly they didn't and those guys came to our village. We couldn't go to the farm anymore, they had killed about 3 men and their wives. I remember when we went to the farm one time and my auntie's husband wanted to go check his yam barn, he told my cousin and i that should incase he doesn't come back, we should take the bike and run home. it was that bad, while we held unto our cutlass we were fvcking scared because we heard these guys were holding guns. Well we all got home safely that day to hear the news that someone close to us had been killed at a farm close to ours that same day. This was were the turning point came, the whole youths were summoned to the enogie's palace and we were marked. First time i saw cutlass bouncing of people's body. While some of us were asked to stay behind and guard the village, most of the men above 30 went into the forest to hunt for these guys and in less than 2 days the culprits were all rounded up. Other neighboring villages did same. The culprits were fulanis and they were handed over to the police only for us to hear days later that they were all released via a phone call from abuja. Since then, i don't trust any fulani man. These people fear violence too trust me. If they kill one of your own, hunt them down and kill 15 of theirs. Don't take them to the police it is a waste of time. Don't wait for them to attack you next after their attack, find them and attack them. If the police in your area tries to stop you, burn down the police station. Thank God i have witnessed some community fights....i ain't scared of any shit now....i just wish Benue pple can really sting hard.
