She was been interviewed @ d house of Esama of Benin Kingdom, Sir Chief (Dr.) Gabriel Igbinedion CON JP on his 76th birthday celebration.

Dont ridicule her, thats no big deal. Almost everybody including me use to think that 75 is diamond age, since 25 is silver and 50 is golden.
It doesnt matter i beg. The important thing is that the man has attain Diamond age by which ever calculation. So please dont make that an issue.
If u were so sure, why did you have to check the dictionary again. No one is perfect. cheers

It is very strange that those who write like semi-literates have the effrontery to challenge the ones that make a genuine attempt to speak. But I guess your brain is quite "foncused."

It is only on Nigerian forums you can find such rubbish. On what forum anywhere in the World have you seen texting used as everyday English?

It is absolutely disgusting when people transfer it from their phones to the Internet, again the only place I have seen such done, is on Nigerian forums and it makes my heart sink about what inquisitive foreigners would think. Texting is primarily for teenage mobile phone use, when it is used in any other way, people quickly draw negative conclusions on the writers intelligence or sense of responsibility.

To make matters worse, someone speaking that way has the gall to challenge a woman who at least made a genuine effort. Its like an area boy or almajiri challenging a banker about economics.

That was indeed opprobrious. Its defeatist to argue that afterall, everybody makes mistakes. We need people like Chukwuemeka Chikelu to handle such responsibilities. Poster do well to give us more instances of solecism.

Can you proof how right the bolded word is in your tense?

America jagajigijaga.

Compare "been" to "being" and make your choice.

Even Queen Elizabeth do miss the rule sometimes. You and me are also subject to erring. To err is human. ok.

Example: The customer was being helped by the salesman when the thief came into the store.

I am not a fan of English Language, though i speak little enough to make me comunicate well enough.

I only want to let this man know that Clinton, Obama, Blair,Queen are subject to making grammatical errors when speaking.

Even you and me.

what's all this anti-txtglish? So what if someone writes in txtglish? Have y'all heard of the word 'isomorphism'? It means shared meaning and that's what communication is about. Why don't y'all channel your energy into something more productive and germane rather than fighting text language in a public forum.
