That's a wonderful thing to do. Let people feel that the government have them at heart not only on newspaper pages. Even though it won't contribute to the state's development but if the governor deserves to be happy then the citizens also deserves happiness. Football makes most of us happy, the governor spotted that and decided to help us to get that happiness even wen we are on the street hustling.

kudos to Rocha's for that

I trust Rocha's this one go don't gaup billions of naira, by the way who monitors them against theft and abuse.

Plus is this just for world cup or EPL regular matches (one TV can't satisfy every viewer who have different clubs playing different times).

No foresight as usual

Politics of deceit. How does this uplift the problems of the Imolite who wallows in abject poverty? Okorocha is a relative but I must always say the truth. What single industry has he built? He has only built roads, I give him that but when do we actually start electing people who understand basic economics or someone smart enough to employ those who know?

The problem is that if this done on a large scale throughout the state, the operators of the viewing centres will go out of business and this will also not help the government. Again, the crowd that will congregate by the roadside to watch matches via those mobile screens will cause issues on its own. Frankly I hope it does not succeed.
Re: Mobile Viewing Centers In Owerri Streets By Imo Government (Photos) by Ibime(m): 5:58pm On Apr 29, 2018
Rochas is a visionless Governor.

Wetin consign govt with broadcasting EPL matches for that matter.

Na so viewing centres and bars will go out of business cos Govt is putting their hand in a private enterprise

Re: Mobile Viewing Centers In Owerri Streets By Imo Government (Photos) by Cornerstone2020(m): 6:12pm On Apr 29, 2018
Nonsense!
Empower the youth so that they can buy television and watch football in their respective homes.
Can Okorocha's children watch football matches like this in abroad even in Nigeria?
He just want to make youths lazy
Re: Mobile Viewing Centers In Owerri Streets By Imo Government (Photos) by Vuvuzela101: 6:13pm On Apr 29, 2018
I pity imo people. I was expecting to see that the governer has decided to launch grassroot development by building a standard football pitch in every autonomous community. What economic or human development value will watching television bring. Its a pity.
