Read the tyre out, 275/40/20/111? That last figure will determine if your supercharged is using the right tyre or not.

MrHenri:
Hello house, please can someone give me a good auto shop contact for range rover sport. I live in delta state and I need a mechanic within delta, Benin and anambra state.

If there is none, Then I will go to lagos but I still don't have idea on where to go in Lagos. sad

Problem: I noticed one morning that one of my rear tyre was swollen. So I went to change it buy purchasing a tokunbo tyre (75, 40 / 20R). During the change of the tyre, the mechanic said he will balance all tyres which he did. But since then I have had issues with the car vibration at high speed from 100km/hour and above.

I have done all I could to stop this vibration at high speed but no solution. I even returned the tyre that I bought and changed it but still the same issue. I don't know if the mechanic has done something wrong during the balancing because I saw him adjusting something under the car front and rear. I have asked him several times but he said that's not the cause of the vibration. Now I am helpless as he couldn't even fix this issue. We even changed brake pads but still thesame issue. sad

The car is runing fine at low speed and I have never noticed any strange altitude from the car except this vibration at high speed. Please someone should help because I am really stressed with this issue since January. I need to check if this is a mechanical issue or balancing issue. sad

Lately, my mechanic told me to change all 4 rims and tyres. But there is no evidence of bad rim and tyres in the car except the one that was recently changed. Please I need a very good auto shop to fix this issue. Thanks everyone and God bless you all.

We are in Ikeja and you can reach me on 08098534267

Truck or car?
Cars, Light Trucks, trucks, asides trailers & tippers. I need a 'live in driver' position. As is stated on my signature, I'm ready to move to any location within the country. The pay is important, but the work environment is of greater importance, I need a Christian family to work with. I'm not a saint, but I know the importance of honesty, loyalty, steadfastness, selfless efforts and giving my best inputs at all times, the value of a good name, and I protect my name with all of me, I'll never ever do anything consciously or unconsciously to soil/tarnish my name. please help a brother out.

Your challenge started with buying a used tyre. I still seem not to figure the logic in buying them. Like oyinbo stopped using them cos he knows he needs a replacement.

Then like sooperrescue said. Check and confirm if you're using the recommended tyres.

From experience, not everyone knows how to balance wheels. It is not supposed to be rocket science. Yes, having the right tools and machine is a plus. But if you don't know, you dont.

To be fair on all Kazeems, which I might be ranked as one. That dont have the super duper packaging like oga sooperescue. In which whatever he tells you, you believe him and trust him enough to do the right things. Infact, shey u fit argue with big man?

But you go get mind they tell kazeem wetin him go do. Get mind go market go buy parts yourselves even at higher cost.

Then you start with your supervision, as if you've ever loosed the bolt of your tyres before. What are you loosing there, why are you hitting my car like that,Then have the mind to tell him youve spent all your money. Joor manage this. Argh!
.. Yes, I put it to you. You are not God fearing.

What's all this my rant for sef... na small small. I will soon b like my oga sooperrescue.

So bro.

Go and buy original recommended tyres. Not double king o.

Then do wheel balancing and alignment. No give kazeems o mbok. before them go cut your height control sensor. Thinking oyinbo is stupid.

You should be fine.

There is nothing wrong with your rims
Since you never had this issue before the tyre change.

Mustydeen, I used to be president of roadside mechanics abuja chapter until I was forcibly detroned. You know that you must own a range rover to be able to fix a range, so that is the upgrade. You have answered mr henry correctly and let him take the advice

Are you looking for an experienced, reliable, dependable, trustworthy & Dynamic 'live in' Driver? Search no more, I'm here, and I am ready for the job. With over 5 years’ experience as a driver, I have extensive experience in commercial, passenger and personal/family transportation having plied/driven in most major cities and states in Nigeria; Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Calabar, Benin, Uyo, Calabar, Ikom, Ogoja, Kanu, Kaduna, Jos etc. In addition to having a valid 'Class D' Drivers' License, I am respectful, punctual, knowledgeable and have an in-depth knowledge of the dynamics involved in driving on Nigerian roads. I also have the skills to read maps or use GPS systems to find locations I am not familiar with already.
I understand that a driver’s work does not end at just driving the vehicle, but to ensure the safety of his passengers, himself, the vehicle and other road users. Moreover, my knowledge of vehicles has made me familiar with common causes of breakdown and I am able to perform minor repairs especially in emergency situations pending when the mechanic can work on the vehicle.I have the experience and I am well versed in driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles with a particular focus on passenger and vehicle safety. Adept at cleaning and maintaining vehicles on a regular basis, a mild-mannered driver with great patience that allows me to wait for long hours when required. I am a driver conversant with laws, rules & regulations governing governing driving and road use in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
If competense, integrity, hardwork, proactive thinking, ethically and morally sound with good driving skills is what you want in a driver, you have found the perfect one in me.

NB: I'm ready to move/relocate to wherever the job demands.

PS: I'm fully IT (Information Technology)
compliant.

I can be reached via 0.8.0.5.7.5.0.5.4.0.4 (calls, Sms or whatsapp).

Thanks once again. The hired purchase 'gig' is cool, but I need a private/family driver job. My current location won't make the Hugotaxi stuff feasible. Nevertheless, I'm ready to move to any location/state within Nigeria that's one of the reasons i need a 'live in' position. And I'm sorry for derailing your thread. Best regards.

But the rear balloon rarely go bad. Are you sure it is a balloon issue? Who gave the scan report?
Re: Range Rover Sports Club by sooperrescue(m): 5:59am On Mar 14, 2018
Does it show adaptive dynamics fault or suspension fault?

Re: Range Rover Sports Club by olumidazz: 8:06am On Mar 14, 2018
Thank you supper rescue. The rear balloon is obviously bad. It hisses sometimes when driving, and there was a time the particular balloon was always leaking oil.

Madam went to Ladipo to shop for it herself and she was as usual badly ripped off.
Re: Range Rover Sports Club by olumidazz: 8:13am On Mar 14, 2018
Yes it started to give suspension fault signal on dashboard.
Re: Range Rover Sports Club by sooperrescue(m): 8:33am On Mar 14, 2018
If it is still new, i can arrange a supplier to take the front and give you the rear. Leaking oil.... I am suspecting your dynamic response. Has the oil been changed before?
Re: Range Rover Sports Club by olumidazz: 9:33am On Mar 14, 2018
No the oil has never been changed. What I mean leaking oil is that I just observe a dark patch like hydraulic leakage on that particular balloon side that drops. All the other balloons are totally dry and hard.
Re: Range Rover Sports Club by olumidazz: 9:46am On Mar 14, 2018
Thanks supper rescue am willing to exchange with a supplier for a rear balloon. Please explain more on he dynamic response issue you are talking about as the only chyme sound I get on the dash board is the suspension fault signal and it comes on and off.

Your supercharged is equipped with a dynamic response that gives it the ability to perform optimally whenever it goes through corners. It is equipped with a pump which has to be oiled and the filter changed periodically. Always check the oil can on the passenger side. It has the same can look alike with the power steering can.

20 years ago, I was at the Geneva Motor Show in Geneve and it was a very beautiful outing as I saw the premiere of the Maybach in 1998. I asked the Mercedes guys there a pertinent question, why are you launching this car when you just launched the new Mercedes S class in 1998. They can never go hand in hand. 20 years down, the question has been justified. I have only seen the Maybach in a showroom in Victoria Island in 2011 and never on the road. They say the Germans make good cars but their strategy for producing two high class models and selling it side by side has not actually worked. I remember that the drivers will be sent to Germany to learn how to operate the equipment in the car before being allowed to drive it. I was wondering that why will a man who pays his driver 50k send his driver to Germany to learn how to drive a car? Will the driver return back after training? That is another story.

Before the arrival of the wonderful Range Rover sport in Nigeria in 2005, I paid a visit to Coscharis Showroom and garage in Kirikiri in my capacity as a journalist and our discussions were an eye opener. They were using Mobil 1 0w40 because according to them, there was no Castrol in the country at that time and Landrover or maybe Coscharis decided to use Mobil 1 which was not suitable to be used on the brand. We dont know how those first range rovers and Lr3s fared in the country but at least a brand new car bought in 2005 should still be on the road because we are still importing these cars of the same age into the country. But alas for our oils and then our fuel, because we just migrated to unleaded fuel. They told me that the case of blocked catalyst has reduced since the phasing out of the leaded fuel.
Now we find some guys using 20w50 on their Range and they will blame their mechanics but the reality is that they are pleased with the cheap maintenance and in the long run destroy the wonderful rides. Make I rest. We shall be talking about the Range Rover on out TV show autoxpat on dstv 255 MITV. Every Sunday for the whole month of April. Join us.

What is your take? For 5w30 engine oil, am thinking focusing on castrol full synethic USA spec.. Have read the reviews so many times .. I think it is as good as mobil 1 and you get more money for the castrol... and 0w 20 and the rest will be mobil 1. Castrol full synethic USA just sounds to good to be true, it got excellent review.. Instead people buying mobil 1 for 16k more , it will make better sense to stick with castrol...
Re: Range Rover Sports Club by sooperrescue(m): 9:25pm On Apr 29, 2018
Thanks for the offer but please make it the extended performance of Castrol like I told you in another thread. The engine is too expensive to be toyed with low quality oils. The extended performance will do good. There are many owners of BMW and VW and AUDI that will gladly buy from you. Even the new breed Toyotas will also gladly buy from you.

Out of curiosity so Coscharis as a whole conglomerate cannot do partnership with these lubricant companies and ship and market these oils into the country at a discount for use on these vehicles? They decided to go for Mobil 1 which is not suitable for the brand. I reserve my comment.
